Adult Orthodontics

Are you an adult thinking about going through orthodontics?  Well you are definitely not alone!  In fact many people wait until they are adults to get braces, due to financial reasons and other personal reasons that may not allow you to get braces as a child.

Orthodontist can treat adults just the same as they do children.  In fact the results can be very similar.  One of the advantages a child has over an adult, is that they have soft jaws and can usually fix overbites, underbites, and crossbites a bit easier than when the jaw is full grown and strong.

The price for adults in the braces is the same as a child.  When shopping for an orthodontist we recommend that you find one that treats adults often.  It is always a bit more of a pleasurable experience when you know and see other adults being treated as the same office.

There are many technologies available to adults now that include an invisible treatment.  Clear aligners from Invisalign for unnoticed while being treated.  These are excellent for those that are in public speaking or just a bit on the shy side.  Your aligners are completely invisible and the treatment results we have seen are excellent.  Of course not everyone is a candidate of clear treatments since they are not for severe cases.
