Funny stories about braces here.
This is the internet. A place where people can climb up on a virtual soap box, and throw out their thoughts indiscriminately. The good and the bad, all unfiltered, and usually without objectivity. Some even stack up a few soap boxes, and try to raise their issue to the level of a crusade against who or what has wronged them in their mind. I'm not saying people don't get taken advantage of or misled. But often when people take that to the

So this morning, I tried out my WaterPik. just to see how the gadget works before I have appliances and metal in my mouth! it was the funniest thing ever! lol! I turned it on to see if it would work and WHOOOSH this water flew out of the top and onto the bathroom wall and I couldnt stop laughing and said to myself "well! i guess that works!" lol.
I then stuck it in my mouth and man it was crazy hahaha, i need to get some practice I think!!! I watched a clip on how to
I've been meaning to update my blog but haven't found the time until now. I'm currently on day 10 of tray 19. I'll be changing onto tray 20 on Tuesday. Where has the time gone? Just 4 more trays to go. Everything is looking fab and my ortho is extremely happy with my progress. Trays 18 and 19 have been a total breeze, so nothing major to report other than my teeth are looking straighter than ever. Woohooo
Ever since starting invisalign, i've always seen
It's another milestone for me today as it's my 8 month Invisalign Anniversary which = 245 days of plastic. Can't believe i've made it this far. Woohoo! Hopefully a little under 3 months to go for me now and i'll be done with this initial round of treatment.
These past 11 days with tray 17 have been an absolute breeze. I had my last lot of IPR done during my last ortho visit where my ortho made a 0.2mm gap between 2 of my upper teeth. It really is amazing how
Hello Interweb (I'll love you if you get the reference) it's been awhile once again; because I've been away at Camp, not just any camp, a Student Council Camp. Mhm, I'm in a council committee, in the words of many students, I am the school's dog. I see no pride in being in a position above my fellow peers, but take the opportunity not to let power go to my head.
The Camp was run by a very lively group of trainers, who have made a significant impact on our group; at least they think
Today is my fifth day of wearing tray 16 so I thought I'd drop by and let you know the latest happenings with my treatment....
On Tuesday, I went back to the ortho to get tray 16 fitted and to have some more IPR done. Having already had my first lot of IPR done during my previous appointment, I felt a lot more relaxed about it as I knew what to expect. This time, I had 3 gaps made, all of which were 0.2mm so I can't even notice the gaps he made. Once again, the
Today is my 7 month Invisalign Anniversary (can't believe it), so I thought I'd mark the occasion by updating my blog :)
It's day 8 of tray 15 and I'm pleased to report that things are still going great with my treatment. I went to the ortho last Tuesday, not only to get tray 15 fitted but to also get my first lot of IPR done. I was quite anxious about it all day as I've read some real horror stories about teeth being filed too much and leaving horrible gaps
It's only been about 2 days since these painful torture devices have been implanted in my mouth. They must be used to keep adolescent teens like myself in order, or keep me quiet. I got them done on Monday. It was about an hour of having a dentist mutilate my mouth with dental equipment. What made matters worse was he kept telling me I had a small mouth, and that he needed to use children's clamps on me. (Very embarrassing for a 14 year old girl strapped down on a chair)
It was pure
I've been pretty lazy with my blog updates lately, so since I've got 10 mins to spare on this rather grey Sunday afternoon, I thought i'd take the time to update you on my progress.
I was incredibly excited to enter my 'teenage' stages of the treatment, so I'm now referring to myself as an Invisalign Teenager (sad, I know haha). Tray 13 was an absolute breeze from beginning to end so there's really not much to update you on about tray 13.
Currently day 1. I recently got them this morning at 10 A.M and it is currently 2:16 P.M as I right this. I got metal braces and bite blocks. Let me just say IT HURTS ALREADY. I tried eating chicken noodle soup for lunch and did not get very far. I gave up halfway being in so much pain. While eating it felt like my braces were about to come off any moment and that is the last thing I want, another quick trip to the orthodontist. I'm pretty sure they are on perfectly tight though and I'm just being
I just found out about this website and decided to sign up and try to write my own blog. I may not be that commited to all this so this could be my only one but I'm just trying it out. Anyways I've had my braces for 10 months now. When I got them in the next day it hurt like hell and I went to school and everyone was like "omg you got braces", "can I see" and I was so uncomfortable with them I didn't want anyone to see so that was really annoying for me. Anyways after a couple
Unbelievably, it's that time again for me to update my blog - how time flies! Today is my 5 month Invisalign anniversary. Woohoo! How did I mark the occasion? I hear you ask....well, I brought myself a new....toothbrush hahaha
I am now 3 days into tray 11 and everything is still going smoothly. I went back to the ortho on Tuesday evening and my ortho is very happy with how things are shaping up. He gave me a magnifying mirror (never flattering), to check
I'm stoked!!! SO much stuff has happened today at my appointment and I'm jumping for joy! I just got home and I had to hurry up and write this because there is so much to cover! I'll try to keep it as short as possible. Pfft, who am I kidding, this is ME you're talking about. LOL!
I arrived at my Ortho 10 mins early and they saw me right away. I saw my ortho for just a few mins before we got to start on my 3 month cleaning with my Hygienist. I mentioned I had a malfunctioning bracket

I know, I posted yesterday but this is just ridiculous!
Today, I get home from school and a letter is waiting for me from the dentist informing me that my appointment to have my teeth removed has been cancelled and replaced on the 31st July .
A fine choice, with only one major drawback.
I get my braces on the day before.
Are these people seriously stupid?
So, we rang up and informed the dentist that we have to have
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY to my braces! I can't believe it's been a year already... wow does time fly. I took the time to write a small letter to my braces in honor of this day: http://dswiz.blogspot.com/2011/11/ha...niversary.html (I am a weirdo, I know lol).
I sure hope I don't have another anniversary and my braces come off in less than a year! Here's hoping! :thumb:
