Not too sure how many people actually read this blogsite anymore but I have thus far documented my journey at the blog address below:
all the highs and lows through my journey!
On tray four of my refinements. My teeth hurt, so it must be working. I have to admit, refinements aren't as fun as the original treatment was. At the beginning I could notice the slightest improvements but not I barely can tell anything, aside from the slight pain. At the end of the month I go to get my 6th tray plus a few more. I'm not sure if I'll get more IPRs or what. I can't believe I have a whole year more of this. So strange. My teeth were so bad before and I had 35 trays and now that they're
Okay, so I let time get away from me. I'm over halfway done with Tray 29, and just now talking about it. Haha.
The usual soreness but nothing special.
The orthodontist appointment, well, I talked about last entry (refinements are coming sooner than I thought!!!) but I also had more IPR done. It was a little rougher between a couple of the teeth, but the others already had plenty of space. I still can't tell when I look in the mirror where it was done... which is
Not too much to update on! Changed to Tray 28 on Tuesday night. A little soreness, but thankfully not as much as Tray 27! Still not tracking completely right, but at least they still mainly fit... so I may be able to avoid mid-course correction and can just do refinements after. My next appointment is a week from Tuesday.
Can't believe Thanksgiving is almost here, which means the holiday season is coming soon. I haven't even done any Christmas shopping yet! Ha. I feel like
Oops, I forgot to update! I've had my new trays for over a week (so halfway done with this tray) and I've neglected an update. Sorry about that :) Though I doubt many people are reading this, haha. Well, if there's a few that are keeping up, (all two of you) then here ya go ;)
Tray 27 started off quite painful. From what I remember with the Clincheck, now that my formerly-crooked right lateral incisor is in line with my central incisors and left lateral incisor, those four teeth
Got all my attachments off and they used the itero to rescan my mouth for refinements. Although I canít wait to get more trays so that my teeth can be absolutely perfect, I must admit it feels so nice to have my teeth back. Literally sliding my tongue against my teeth feels so good. I go back in four weeks but as of now only have to technically wear my trays for 12 hours a day. Relief. So happy with results so far especially in such a short time. So I donít mind refinements. Yay. Almost there.
Isn't Blackjack the card game you play to 21? Yeah, thought it'd be funny to incorporate that into my subject title :)
So now I'm at Tray 21. I changed into it Tuesday night. Didn't realize it until a week or two ago, but I had scheduled my 6-month dental checkup this past Wednesday. The MORNING after changing my top tray. The teeth were a little sore - which, I admit, made me feel better because they didn't really get sore on Tray 20 - but the appointment went fine.

I got back from the orthodontist a little while ago. I'm excited and happy but not really expressing it thanks to a headache I've had most of the day.
This was the longest follow-up appointment I've had. First, I told Brooke (the awesome assistant) about my concern with the gap in the tray over my top central incisor. She said she would have the orthodontist - the new, young (and cute) one I hadn't met yet - take a look and figure out what to do. Although I was a little hesitant

I had my third adjustment today! I am all geared up! lol.
I got a grey powerchain on the bottom, my ortho said we are gonna start closing gaps down the bottom! lets just say OUCH... my mouth has never been so sore... I also have new wires, and I have to wear elastics 24/7!!! THE JOY... apart from when I eat, I was told to take them out when I eat and then put them back in. I also mentioned about my midline and my ortho said that we will fix it so that is good!
I have been super busy, so forgive for the slightly-late post. Between adopting two little dogs, work, and school, I haven't had much time to be on here except to occasionally lurk, let alone write up a post!
I changed to Tray 19 on Tuesday night. This is a HUGE milestone because it marks halfway through my first round of treatment AND is my last bottom tray! I cannot believe how far I've come in less than 9 months!
My top teeth.

Hey everyone I haven't been on in a while. Today I had my checkup last time I went in 5 weeks ago they put a spring on my wire in order to spread my teeth and make room. Today they checked it and said it wasn't ready to attach a bracket so in 3 weeks they will be installing a new hardware in the roof of my mouth in order to make more room. It's gonna be so painful I'm so not ready for this. So all they did today was change out my bands. Still a little sore but oh we'll no pain no gain.
Today I had my second adjustment! I got two new wires, top and bottom, nice and thick lol, well from the first one on the top anyway. I think the orthodontist said they were both 0.6 but i have no idea, i really should listen when he is talking to his assistant instead of thinking "PLEASE DONT PULL MY TEETH OUT!" lol.
I got Lilac ligs, in person, they dont look much different to the baby pink ones :( but in pics, they come up really nice.
Here are some progress
I know I just updated with a video yesterday, but now that I've got acquainted with Tray 17, I wanted to share a quick post (as promised!).
I put in the new trays last night. Uneventful, really. Not the easiest trays to put on but not the hardest. But I will say the chewies have been a worthy investment. Before, I'd use my fingers and thumbs to make sure the trays settled down. Now I just use the chewies. And if I'm home, I chew on it after putting the trays back on. It's a
Can't believe I am already on tray 25. Wow time really does fly. In two weeks I go in for a few more attachments (on my front teeth, etc) and get five more trays. Only ten more to go! This is crazy. I couldn't be happier. I know I'll need refinements but the progress I've seen already is more than enough to be grateful for. Can't wait to see what they look like after the last set, never mind after refinements.
Well, last night I changed trays. I got my chewies in the mail after getting home from out of town yesterday, so I was able to try that for the first time after changing the trays. It definitely was easier than trying to push up/down on the trays with my fingers. I tried the chewie again this morning as my teeth are definitely sore (mainly in the front) but it was hard to do it in the front since they hurt! I'm hoping it's getting the blood flowing and it ultimately helps :)
