Update your blog with picture entries here.
Not too sure how many people actually read this blogsite anymore but I have thus far documented my journey at the blog address below:
all the highs and lows through my journey!
Okay, so I let time get away from me. I'm over halfway done with Tray 29, and just now talking about it. Haha.
The usual soreness but nothing special.
The orthodontist appointment, well, I talked about last entry (refinements are coming sooner than I thought!!!) but I also had more IPR done. It was a little rougher between a couple of the teeth, but the others already had plenty of space. I still can't tell when I look in the mirror where it was done... which is
Not too much to update on! Changed to Tray 28 on Tuesday night. A little soreness, but thankfully not as much as Tray 27! Still not tracking completely right, but at least they still mainly fit... so I may be able to avoid mid-course correction and can just do refinements after. My next appointment is a week from Tuesday.
Can't believe Thanksgiving is almost here, which means the holiday season is coming soon. I haven't even done any Christmas shopping yet! Ha. I feel like
Oops, I forgot to update! I've had my new trays for over a week (so halfway done with this tray) and I've neglected an update. Sorry about that :) Though I doubt many people are reading this, haha. Well, if there's a few that are keeping up, (all two of you) then here ya go ;)
Tray 27 started off quite painful. From what I remember with the Clincheck, now that my formerly-crooked right lateral incisor is in line with my central incisors and left lateral incisor, those four teeth
Hello! I finished 28 trays of Invisalign in late September and I am now in the refinement stage. I have 11 refinement trays and should be done in March! I absolutely love my results and I am sorry I waited so long (I'm 55!). I'm trying to decide if I want the permanent retainer (easier) or the Viviera retainer -- what are your thoughts on this?
Nearing the end... slowly but surely! I can't believe that next Tuesday will mark ONE YEAR in Invisalign!!!!
So I had my checkup this past Tuesday. It was a little different, because my usual assistant was gone (on vacation), I was in a different chair, and the original orthodontist saw me (versus the newer one, who saw me the last two times). I got that attachment off (whoo! that tooth feels SO smooth), and a little bit of IPR (though that was SHORT and sweet! Apparently there
I feel like I haven't been on this site much lately, partly due to life and partly due to the malware hacking that gave me some trojans on my computer (which thankfully were taken care of before any damage, from what I can tell... but how crazy! Who'd want to hack a website about teeth anyway??!!)
Anyway, I switched to Tray 25 last Tuesday night. A little soreness but not much. I really think the chewies help a lot with the pain and settling my teeth in, so the gap isn't looking
I changed my top tray Tuesday night. Not too much pain the next day, though some soreness of course. The tray is getting easier to take off around that lateral incisor with the attachment (that comes off after Tray 25, yay!).
It's hard to really see changes right now, though I can kind of see where my four front teeth are moving forward, and after that attachment comes off, those four teeth will move back into place. Well, if they move according to plan anyway :)

Yesterday, I had my orthodontist appointment. My boyfriend was still visiting (I had a 4-day weekend) so he went with me, though waited in the waiting room when I went back. But that must've been the longest I've had to sit in the waiting room! Not counting the first appointment, the appointment I had IPR done, or the last appointment which added an attachment - they only take 10 minutes, tops. I guess the assistant was busy with someone else when I arrived? Well, my boyfriend and I got to
Life has been busy, so I didn't get to post an update sooner. I changed trays (no, TRAY, gotta remember it's singular now) last Tuesday night. A little soreness but not bad. There is still a gap between the bottom of one of my central incisors and the tray, but oh well. It doesn't look worse, at least.
Here's my top teeth now:
And a reminder of my top teeth (well and bottoms too) before:

I picked up my first two sets of aligners on 8/15/13 morning! The appointment was a little...underwhelming. I was hoping to get a cool starter kit like some of you have, but I only got the standard Invisalign welcome kit. I asked about Chewies, but the tech said that only people whose trays don't fit well will need them. (I am planning to ask for some at my next visit because I found that they help my aligners fit more snugly).
I was a little annoyed at the tech when she had me
Isn't Blackjack the card game you play to 21? Yeah, thought it'd be funny to incorporate that into my subject title :)
So now I'm at Tray 21. I changed into it Tuesday night. Didn't realize it until a week or two ago, but I had scheduled my 6-month dental checkup this past Wednesday. The MORNING after changing my top tray. The teeth were a little sore - which, I admit, made me feel better because they didn't really get sore on Tray 20 - but the appointment went fine.

I got back from the orthodontist a little while ago. I'm excited and happy but not really expressing it thanks to a headache I've had most of the day.
This was the longest follow-up appointment I've had. First, I told Brooke (the awesome assistant) about my concern with the gap in the tray over my top central incisor. She said she would have the orthodontist - the new, young (and cute) one I hadn't met yet - take a look and figure out what to do. Although I was a little hesitant

I had my third adjustment today! I am all geared up! lol.
I got a grey powerchain on the bottom, my ortho said we are gonna start closing gaps down the bottom! lets just say OUCH... my mouth has never been so sore... I also have new wires, and I have to wear elastics 24/7!!! THE JOY... apart from when I eat, I was told to take them out when I eat and then put them back in. I also mentioned about my midline and my ortho said that we will fix it so that is good!
I have been super busy, so forgive for the slightly-late post. Between adopting two little dogs, work, and school, I haven't had much time to be on here except to occasionally lurk, let alone write up a post!
I changed to Tray 19 on Tuesday night. This is a HUGE milestone because it marks halfway through my first round of treatment AND is my last bottom tray! I cannot believe how far I've come in less than 9 months!
My top teeth.
