  1. Tray 4-refinements

On tray four of my refinements. My teeth hurt, so it must be working. I have to admit, refinements aren't as fun as the original treatment was. At the beginning I could notice the slightest improvements but not I barely can tell anything, aside from the slight pain. At the end of the month I go to get my 6th tray plus a few more. I'm not sure if I'll get more IPRs or what. I can't believe I have a whole year more of this. So strange. My teeth were so bad before and I had 35 trays and now that they're ...
  2. All done, well almost (:

Got all my attachments off and they used the itero to rescan my mouth for refinements. Although I canít wait to get more trays so that my teeth can be absolutely perfect, I must admit it feels so nice to have my teeth back. Literally sliding my tongue against my teeth feels so good. I go back in four weeks but as of now only have to technically wear my trays for 12 hours a day. Relief. So happy with results so far especially in such a short time. So I donít mind refinements. Yay. Almost there.
  3. I don't even know how to feel about this...

My orthodontist just passed away. Literally the worst news I have ever heard. Not only was he super nice and hilarious but he was the best invisalign orthodontist in the northeast, if not in the united states. I donít even know how to reaact to this. Iím on tray 30 of 35 and who knows if Iíll need refinements. But I donít want anyone to touch my mouth but him): Iím paying 7,000 dollars for him because he is the best. They said weíd all continue receiving great care but Iím probably going to vomit/cry ...
  4. Tray 25(:

Can't believe I am already on tray 25. Wow time really does fly. In two weeks I go in for a few more attachments (on my front teeth, etc) and get five more trays. Only ten more to go! This is crazy. I couldn't be happier. I know I'll need refinements but the progress I've seen already is more than enough to be grateful for. Can't wait to see what they look like after the last set, never mind after refinements.

  5. tray 18 with pics /:

Still don't feel comfortable with my teeth but after looking at my before and after I feel so much better. Moments ago when I switched into my 18th tray I was kind of upset. For my bottom teeth I am only suppose to have 19 trays, leaving me with 4 weeks until they should be complete but I don't think that is going to happen. I mean who knows but just stinks. I know refinements are common but I have 35 trays for my top teeth and I'm almost positive they wait until my whole mouth is done to do refinements, ...

  6. Well it is safe to say...

A little off topic of my invisalign journey but it is safe to say I was definitely a newbie at this site! haha I literally just learned that people had commented on my earlier post and just commented back after months. Wow, I feel dumb. Also I just learned how to reply to a comment instead of posting a whole new one. Oh well! Hope everyone is enjoying their invisalign experience (:
  7. Invisalign rant

So my whole treatment has been pretty positive and I'm still very grateful for this experience. Not to mention more than happy that everyday I get closer and closer to being done. All of that said, I know IPRs are not a big deal and honestly with my trays in you can't see a thing but I can't deal with this gap in my front tooth. Like I said super small and barely noticeable but when I take my tray out you can see it. It is funny because my orthodontist did the same IPRs to a bunch of my upper teeth ...
  8. tray sixteen!

Wow a little bit of a jump since my last post but a lot has happened. I got my bottom IPRs done and those spaces have mostly closed up. My bottom teeth are actually almost done 16/19. My top teeth are a different story. Although I am getting closer, I'm still not at all comfortable with them. I still wouldn't dare to smile or show them to people without force. 16/35 isn't horrible, def further from where I started. It is crazy to look at tray one and the one I'm at not and the progress I've made. ...

  9. Tray ten(:

I just put tray 10 on. More than excited, can't even explain. Nine more for the bottom and twenty five more for the top..but hey closer than before I started. Not to mention next appointment I get my IPRs done on the bottom. (:
  10. sixth tray (:

So today I went to the orthodontist for basically the first time since I got my original set of trays (well minus the emergency visit to put an attachment that fell off, back on). He gave me five the first time and this time I got five again. (: Good news, well for the most part, I didn't have to get IPRs this time. I must have misunderstood the lady the last time. It is kind of disappointing because I really can't wait for my front teeth to start moving but that really won't be until the end of ...
  11. Fifth tray(:

I honestly can't believe I am already on my fifth tray. I can already notice a little bit of a difference, I can't believe I have thirty more to go. I can't wait to just see the final results. Invisalign has been such a positive thing in my life. Not only am I more confident, but I truly am happier. It is so exciting to look forward to something new, even if it is just changing to a new tray. Not only that but my overall hygiene has just improved so much. I can't believe that some people are unsatisfied ...
  12. Fourth Tray(:

So very happy to be on my fourth tray, I can't believe how quickly it is going. I actually waited to update this but I only have two more days left of this tray and then I move on to tray five!!! So very excited. September 18th I go for my IPR which I mentioned in previous posts. I'm so nervous for that. I'm so afraid it will hurt and mainly because I don't really know what it is. I know the general idea but I like to see stuff first and I won't be seeing this till it is done to me. So a little ...
  13. Third tray(:

Very exciting how fast the time is going, I can't believe I am already on my third tray. I have 32 to go but hey, at least I already began. I put off getting my teeth fixed for so long basically because I was afraid financially. Thankfully though, it all worked out and I couldn't be happier. Getting straight teeth means a lot to me. Mostly internally than for the benefits of others. I've always been happy in life. I have a ton of friends and an amazing boyfriend who is beyond handsome, yet my teeth ...

  14. Second Tray (:

Just put my second tray in after dinner tonight. So far it feels alright but when I first put it in it felt super tight, almost like my teeth would break. For some reason Invisalign makes me feel like my teeth are glass, well at least the first couple of days while your teeth are first adjusting into the aligners. Regardless I'm super happy and I've been keeping up with it well but then again I've only made it two weeks. I've kept them in for every day for the recommended 22 hours and if not I kept ...

  15. First attempt at food with first tray!

First attempt to take my aligners out so that I could eat. OMG haha I almost had a panic attack. It is so hard to get past these attachments but I'm sure once my teeth mold into the tray, it will be easier, either that or I'll just get better/more confident in doing so. Also, eating was interesting. I was so nervous an attachment would fall off while chewing and swallow it because I was eating crunchy pizza. I kept making sure it was the crust and not the attachment. I'm sure I'm just being overly ...
