Braces Spacers Pains
After your consultation and it is determined that you will engage in braces treatment, your orthodontist will immediately place the spacers in your teeth.
The job of the spacers is to put spaces to make room for the anchors of the braces. These are braces that fit over the entire tooth and are not glues like the rest of the brackets. These anchors are then used to pull the other braces and be the backbone of the strengthening and closing of spaces.
The pain felt during the spaces is usually the most painful of the entire treatment. The reason being is that the spacers act immediately to spread out a space between your teeth and they work constantly until they are taken out.
Hang in there as the spacers are usually only needed for a couple of weeks and then they come out for your braces treatment to begin.
