Electric vs Manual Toothbrush Review

Which toothbrush is truly better for your teeth?  Well, it was only a few years ago when electric toothbrushes got popular for home use.   You can get an electric toothbrush as cheap at $5.00 at your local food and drug store.  However are these brushes really beneficial?

There are several aspects of a toothbrush that must be considered.  An electric toothbrush that purely vibrates of your teeth is actually bad for your teeth.  Also ones that go up and down are rarely beneficial.   You should look for an electric toothbrush that mimics the circular motion of what you do when manually brushing your teeth.  Circular motions have been the standard for brushing and recommended by top dentist worldwide.

A good example of a great electric toothbrush is the Rota Dent electric toothbrush.  This toothbrush operates by doing the circular motion we mention above and has hair like bristles.  The soft bristles allow you to get your teeth clean and healthy without damaging.  You can easily get the back teeth and apply proper hygiene to your entire upper and lower jaw.

A manual toothbrush can get the job done nearly as well, but we really like to keep up with technology and take advantage of it, that is why we give the edge to an electric.

Some people say that they do not get that refreshed feeling after brushing with an electric, in this case you can hit up your teeth again with a soft toothbrush and gentle massage your teeth and gums.

Don’t forget to floss as with any toothbrush.  When wearing braces or Invisalign type braces, it is important to double up your maintenance routine.
