My Invisalign Journey (aka my 2nd time around with braces)

Tray 13 is on...plus new "before" pics

Well, I switched to Tray 13 last night. I'm happy to report that Tray 12 did NOT crack...YAY! First time since Tray 7 that I didn't get a crack between my canine & premolar. I think (as you'll see from the pic) that since my canine has started to move down in to position, it's not putting so much pressure in that area anymore.

I finally got off my lazy rear end and scanned in my "before" photo from the ortho. I'm completely embarrassed about how awful my teeth look. The lower right molar was extracted a few years ago. Since I want to do an implant to replace it, they said to wait until I was done with Invisalign before having it put in. You can see just how overcrowded and overlapped my teeth were when I started. My canine had absolutely no room to come down.

I'm really pleased with my progress. I can really see a lot of improvement in my upper teeth. My lowers are slowly, but surely, starting to move in to position. Since my last 3 trays are overcorrection trays, I really only have 8 more trays to go!!!

Looking great! Definitely a lot of correction on the upper teeth, at a glance they look perfect already.

Hey, don't be embarrassed about your "before" pictures. We all have before pictures, and I think my teeth were the same, if not worse than yours.

I'm glad the progress is keeping on slow but steady! They are really getting there!

From the front view I would not have noticed you needed so much movement but looks like progress is good so far.

I'm also missing a molar but it's on the opposite side and one further back than yours so my lower tray actually ends on one side on the tooth before my missing molar since my ortho thought it would be uncomfortable and unnecessary to have the tray stretch over the space so I have this one naked molar that doesn't wear Invisalign at the back of my mouth. I think we are going to start discussing an implant when I'm close to the end.

    Fabulous, Dahling! Looking fabulous!

Hard to believe only 8 more trays for you. I can't believe I'm on 20. But I know I'll need refinements. My front crooked incisor just refuses to go all the way into place. My appointment is in 2 weeks. I'll find out then what my Invisalign future will be!

2 more weeks...wow! You're getting close to the end. At least, the end of the first phase :) My ortho thinks I'll need refinements and said he's estimating anywhere from 5 to 13 trays. I certainly hope it's on the low end!!!
