Welcome Adu

Great you've done plenty of research and have found this forum helpful.

Great you've found an ortho

He was easy to speak to, didn't rush me, answered all my questions and kept asking if I understood what he was talking about and if I had more questions.
This person is indeed a gem, as someone you can communicate with will make this experience much easier.

Many ortho's will only put ceramic brackets on the upper teeth, due to the brackets being so hard. There is slightly more risk of damaging an upper tooth if you connect with it really hard, than with a metal bracket. For some ortho's it a preference thing and for some who charge the same for different brackets, some ceramics are slightly more expensive per bracket. My recommendation is forget the bracket ... choose the ortho!

The ortho's I work for offer sl brackets, but do not push them. Mainly due to bracket issues and the pressure needed to close the door/slide or push the archwire into the clips. Again my recommendation is, forget the bracket ... choose the ortho!

Good luck with your decision and I look forward to reading more about how your treatment goes.
