18 more and more orthodontists are not charging more for the different brackets, as it's been scientifically proven many times, that metal and ceramic work at the same speed ... because brackets don't move teeth, archwires do, and the archwires used with both are the same.
peanutdurof I can't be certain that your ortho offers ceramic brackets, but most do, as this is the way most ortho's are moving, due to the need to find treatment that is both fast and aesthetically pleasing for their patients. A phone call to the office of your ortho to find out what brackets they use, would put your mind at ease.
