How long will it be until you return to the States? If it's not long, then it's probably best to take no action (except maybe some wax to hold the bracket loosely in place if it's bothering you). If it will be quite some time, you could get a local ortho to rebond the bracket - that should be OK.

But as to superglue, for all the reasons above, and then some, no no no. Apart from everything mentioned above, the bonding agents used for orthodontic brackets are specially forumulated - not only to hold the brackets securely to the teeth without damage to your health or to the enamel, but also to come off the teeth properly at the end of treatment - be horrible to end up damaging your enamel seriously when trying to remove the bracket at the end of your time in braces!
