This illustrates why I always advise people to ask a lot of questions if they seek different opinions, because if one orthodontist is offering to do the job a lot cheaper, or a lot faster, or without some (to the patient) undesirable aspect to treatment, then there's a chance that his treatment plan may be one that will bring results that are less stable, or less aesthetically pleasing, or that make a compromise in some other way compared to the slower, more expensive, or less desirable (to the patient) treatment plan. Of course no 10 year old is going to think that way!
