It's already a week since I changed to the second trays. My first set was not so uncomfortable and I can definetly say this new set is not bad as well. At the very beginning it felt very tight and I had some minor discomfort for the next three days especially on my upper front teeth. Anyway nothing unbearable. After one week with the second set all is quite and I'm looking forward to the third one. See you soon.
6 Months and 1 week...and finally my bottom teeth have completely straightened out. There was some over crowding with the front bottom four teeth and now it's gone! I haven't had much pain throughout the braces, but Wednesday night and during Thursday the pain was sooo bad, that I didn't get much sleep during the night and I avoided talking at work. It felt like constant tooth ache and brushing them was painful. Now I see that my teeth were just straightening out and there has been such fast movement, ...
Well, I just got back from my dentist. Super excited. They have given me the trays in increments of three so I was very surprised when they gave me the final four. I have finally begun to see significant change. I'll be posting the before and after photos in July when I'm done. Overall, my teeth are tracking perfectly and it is pretty cool to see the last tray and see how my teeth will look. I still have some movement to do, but the finish line is straight ahead. I was also told that I will need ...
Hello All, I found the blog/discussions to be really helpful for me so I figured I "owed" some posts of my own. I received my first two trays today. So far so good. I was the first at my orth's office to get my trays since they started using the iTero scanner. The assistant was really impressed with how well my trays fit. She said it was a significant improved over how the trays fit using the molds. I have 35 trays U/L with 7 attachments. Attachments will go on with tray ...
I'm assuming dead of some sort :P i know W1ngz is in the "woods" so he's excused!! Someone said they were missing my updates...So, its not really a update. But i thought i'd say gidday mate. (I know you all love my Aussie-ness) My parents are actually over in America currently, apparently you all say "Y'all" and you say coffee funny...like "CAWLFEEE"...and they're having a hard time finding something to eat without cheese on it. But they're having a ...

My orthodontist told me that on Wednesday, and then he laughed like it was hysterical. So it sort of made me giggle.. And it's not totally untrue. :) Four days in... this first set is weird, because I'm like "meh, they're comfortable, I hope something is actually happening." And then I take them off to eat and I can see a gap between my front right tooth and the little tooth to the right of it.. I don't know what it's called. Anyway that was interesting and somewhat ...

Ugh! What a week it's been. I'm currently on day 11 of tray 9. I've had problems in the past with my aligner cracking between the canine "fang" and the 1st premolar on the left side. Last night, not only did the aligner crack there, it also cracked in the middle of the attachment bubble on my front left tooth. It split from the bubble all the way to the top of the aligner. This means there's nothing pushing that incisor to the left and I can definitely notice it feels like nothing ...

Forgive me if this comes out strange, as I'm writing this from my iPhone. I wanted to update while out of town, because a couple of things happened. The flights were no issue, as I didn't eat on the plane. My luggage went to the wrong city after my connection, so all I had was my purse and my Invisalign bag (toothbrush, toothpaste, and case). I got my suitcase the next day, early afternoon, thankfully. We had to make a Walmart run for a couple of things though! We being my parents, ...
I'm 2 months shy of having my braces for a year! Today I had 2 TADs placed on the top. Getting them placed was painless but now that I'm home they're definitely sore! Treated myself to orange Julius for lunch hoping the pain only lasts a day ish!
Hey there, So I got my trays about... an hour ago. LOL.. ugh. So I have 12 attachments, TWO of them are on my VERY FRONT TOOTH... that really bums me out. I was a little more upset before the ortho cleaned up the attachments a little bit, that front tooth felt like it was COVERED in glue. Gross. I think I have 8 on top, 4 on bottom? And two assistants struggled getting the template off before putting on my actual tray, so that stressed me WAY out. I was mentally preparing myself for ...
So, another quick visit yesterday, only a month after my last one. It seems now for 18-19, the doc wants to see me for each tray to keep a close watch on how things are going as round 1 comes to a close. Ugh, what a pain. But given some of the stories I've read, I'm happy that my case is being followed closely, rather than being brushed off. But I just want to be on to 19 already!! Argh!! lol but this tray will be the one that sees me into my final 30 days. I HAVE NO MORE POWER RIDGES!!! ...
Just a quick note.. I can't be the only person to experience this. I said before that I bought a Living Social deal to jump start my Invisalign, and I was really happy to get the $1000 off treatment. So imagine my disappointment when today I saw another LS deal, for $99, I could get $3000 off treatment cost. Ouch! And today is of course the worst day to see that, since I start TODAY.. but whatever. I'm trying to remind myself how much I liked my office and that I already worked ...
Tray 15 is here! And off to a, well, slightly painful start. I'm used to there being pressure when I change trays, but not actual pain right away. My top crooked tooth hurt a bit when I put the tray on. My bottom tray went on without much effort compared to some other previous trays, but it doesn't look like it fits right. But, my teeth have to actually move to fit in them, so I'm not worrying about it for the time being. The problem is if there is a problem - I am flying out of town Thursday ...

Yep! Already 5 weeks down! lol. It seems to have gone slow though and I had been waiting for my first adjustment for what seemed forever! lol It wasn't really painful, more just pressure when the ortho was taking the ligs off the teeth and also putting them back on. Its like he knew which tooth would cause me pain as when I made a "arghh" and he would go "yes i thought so!" lol. I got a new thicker wire on the bottom, but kept the same wire on top, ...
