Hi, I feel like the dentist has been my new second home the last couple of weeks! First I had to go back to have my attachment reattached. Apparently attachments falling off is very rare and my ortho seemed surprised and suspicious I didn't know how I lost it. maybe he though I was testing the strength trying to ply it off or something! who knows! What is the most common way for attachments to come off? Was worse than I expected having it put back on. forgot about all the tools involved ...
Hello sweet Braces group! I feel pretty bad today! Yesterday I had my right bottom wisdom thoot removed with surgery...Everything was good till this morning...My thong was still frozen! I can't even begin to explain how excited I am! Tuesday February 2nd I go to the ortho for my first set of trays. It seems like I have been waiting for an eternity. I actually only had my impressions done 3 weeks ago, so it was a fast turn around to say the least! My appt. is in the middle of the day. I am not sure if I should plan to come back to work afterwords or not...any suggestions?
What a relief, the normal dentist check up went fine, he was very surprised the invisalign had worked so well and thought the results given the fact I’d no refinements were great. He did comment “have you had whitening done?” which I’ve had a little, I only really did it for about a week or so after the attachments came off – maybe it really did make a difference after all Anyway the good news is 31 years and 8 months and never a filling yipeeeee! Little polish – no scaling (fabby ...
So I finally went to the ortho this Tuesday after 8/9 days of wearing my second to last trays because I shrunk my final trays in hot water. I wore my 15/16L and 16/17U again and I didn’t like it because I wore my final trays for like 4/5 weeks and had to suddenly switch. But luckily I got an email last week on Thursday that my refinements came in but I couldn't get an appointment until Tuesday. Good news is that I only have 1 attachment. The attachment is on my lower k-nine that did ...
I used to wonder where all of those formerly avid invisalign posters/bloggers went after they disappeared off the face internet. Now I think I know. After the majority of the correction has occurred, it's not nearly exciting to track to progress from one refinement tray to the next. It feels like quite a slow process at times until I remember that I've already gotten through 6 trays. I picked up trays 7-10 earlier this afternoon and am going to take a look to see what sort of differences I can spot ...

Well hello everyone......I haven’t vanished off the face of the earth, just been really busy with work, life, everything really.....but I haven’t forgotten all my friends I’ve met on here. Things with the new straight teeth have been fine since I finished treatment back In October. It did take several months and attempts to get a retainer I was happy with, I think I picked it up about December, ok I’m not 100% happy with it as it’s not as good as fit as my final tray, the top one isn’t ...
Well I put my 2nd try in about 45 min ago.. Top did not hurt at all. Bottom ones on the other hand only really hurt when I snap them on.. The pain was real quick.. It kinda stinks right now as I have a very bad cough and gotta deal with it .. I really need cough drops and cant.. I feel like a fish in water... I am pounding the water just to sooth my cough.. Well Im pleased with whats been going on.. My husband said he can notice that my front two teeth have ...
Hi, This is my first time to join something like this where you write about your experiences. I had braces when I was 13 yrs. old. My teeth shifted over the years and my sister-in-law works for a very good orthodontist who has put braces on all three of my children. One of them twice. So, I reluctantly decided to get them again. I couldn't sleep the night before the appointment and I almost backed out. My teeth didn't look that bad. I wanted that wider "Damon" smile though so I did it. ...
When do people get rubber bands in their treatment and can they be used to align jaws?
Hey kids I just got back from my second adjustment, they left me in the same wires but put a power chain on the bottom and since my teeth where so sore still they just tied the top together with a wire to keep them from spacing back out. But either way it went well but like he told me in the beginning that my bite would get worse and it has. The plan was for upper and lower and he told me that he was glad we had decided on both because it is getting to bad to fix without it. Either way I will very ...
so far so good. only difference i notice so far between damen and traditional is that i wake up with a new tooth area being sore everyday. nothing major, just something i occasionally notice. i remmeber with traditional braces that thte soreness usually came after the adjustments. went back to school this week.. im in grad school. most of my friends didnt notice my braces... they had to do double takes. haha
