I was at a business dinner last week and my vendor asked me if I had Invisalign. At first, I was really self-conscious that she said something, but then she said that she only noticed because both she and her husband had had Invisalign. Well, I was hurting pretty bad last night when I went to bed, took some Ibuprofen and I slept pretty good. I'm still hitting that one bracket on the right lower, but it's not as bad as yesterday. Ironically enough, I'm already starting to get used them. Not too much rubbing/irritation to my lips/cheeks yet.

Almost 5 months into treatment -- 4 days before my 5th adjustment -- and I've seen something I've never before seen in my lifetime... My two front teeth no longer overlap!!! So I've been done for a while except my ortho decided that I wear my final trays for a while longer than usual. Basically I've been done since May and I wore my final aligners till August 2nd at which time, my ortho cut off the molars on the trays. I was supposed to wear the sliced trays for a week full time and then 12 hours a day at night until September 13th. Just thought i'd do a quick update while waiting to head out to dinner. I'm a bit over 3 weeks in. I see a few small little changes, but really haven't been looking. Been focusing on good hygiene more or less. I use a waterpik daily. My sink is pretty gross to say the least... I'm overall pretty happy with the ceramics... I look forward to my next adjustment.... My TMJ has been going crazy again, so today I finally decided to call the ortho about it. He's out of town so he can't see me but got word back to me as to what to do. I'm supposed to keep warm compresses on my jaw when possible, sleep with a heating pad to my face, and take anti-inflammatories around the clock until I see him next time. Sad part is that my next appointment is in the end of Sept. If it gets worse before then, he'll let me come in and hopefully be able to help fix it. ...
Hey guys, so I think it's been almost two months now. I've stopped looking at my teeth every day in the mirror, so I'm always nicely surprised when I do look in the mirror! I'm 5 days in, and still feeling pretty darn good about this whole braces thing. The adjusting to braces hasn't been that bad (yet - I don't want to jinx myself!)
