6/22/09: Initial consultation for orthodontic treatment. Consisted of oral exam and explanation of possible treatment options.

7/6/09: Regular dentist appointment to replace amalgam filling w/ composite filling.

7/9/09: Regular impressions taken. Orthodontist wanted to get molds made to evaluate my case to see what the best options would be.

7/16/09: Follow up with treatment options and pricing. Ortho initially suggested traditional braces b/c of the complexity of my case. One tooth on top arch and one tooth on bottom arch are severely crowded and rotated. Invisalign was second option which may not complete 100% of the issues.

He said possibly run a course of invisalign and finish off w/ traditional braces for a few months afterwards at a slight extra cost. I opted for this choice.

7/22/09: Panoramic X-rays taken along w/ Invisalign impressions and bite impressions. Impressions not bad at all, expected worse from all the horror stories from accounts read online.

8/4/09: Had my ortho email me the ClinCheck movies. He advised he was going to make a few revisions to the treatment and then submit to get the trays made.

8/18/09: Picked up my first set of trays. Not sure how many upper/lower trays are in my treatment plan. I am to wear this first set of trays for 3 weeks. After which I will have the attachments placed and wear this first try for another couple weeks. 11 attachments total. 6 upper arch and 5 lower arch

Sounds like your treatment plan is an interesting one, and it's great that your ortho is being so upfront with you from the very beginning.

    Good luck with your progress!
