Sadly the two teeth didn't rotate as much I'd hoped. My chain was swapped for yet another extreme one today. I'm not sure if that's the real name or if my ortho nick-named it but its a pretty heavy gauge and enjoys filching portions of my meals for mini-snacks later.

I forget what he called what they installed on my bottom braces (vague enough for ya?). Instead of each bracket getting an individual band I got one big one that looped over about 6 of my bottom teeth. It looks like a series of clear figure 8s.

I guess all the shifting caused a mini gap to pop up near the back right side of my teeth. I didn't even notice it though...funny how I used to stare at my teeth constantly when the braces were new and now its just a cursory look. I feel a lot of pressure already near the back where the gap is. After so many months without real pressure its nice to feel real movement again

So it was a pretty quiet visit. New bands (clear because I learned THAT lesson), new chain and that figure 8 thingy. I like quiet visits - my mouth has had enough drama this year!

I had the figure 8's on my top teeth last visit...First they out one in a "8" on my 2 front teeth, then next visit they put one on each side next to my front teeth, then this last visit she put the figure 8's all across my teeth ...she called it a power chain, but I wasn't aware that it was a powerchain..I have heard the term but didn't associate it with what she was doing. Anyway, that night was tough, but I adjusted to the pressure and all is well!
And I love what you say about just glancing at your teeth....Just in the last month or so I have noticed me not looking in the mirror even half as much as I used to!! That was the first thing I did in the morning..even without my contacts in...would stick my face right up to the mirror and look at my teeth---hahaha...now I give them a quick check after brushing and all is good. Funny how you adjust!!!

The figure 8 thing does sound like a powerchain ... or a link chain ... depending on what name your ortho prefers to call it.

Good luck with the two teeth rotating further!

What does it feel like with power chain? Is it extra strong force applied on the braces?
