Can't believe that it is my 7th day in brace right now.
I had congee for most of my week to make my life easier. I miss my old day food so much, and I miss the way that I enjoy my food. Now eating is more like working my upper teeth and lower teeth and chop up the food and get them in my stomach...

The wired thing is the arch wire start cutting my mouth(it was fine from day1 to day5)...I have my wax for my bracket and to be honest, the bracket doesn't fight with my mouth, and it is the wire...continuesly cutting my mouth and that's hurt. The only thing that I can do now, is to talk less and keep my brace stationary in my mouth.

The seven day curse really worked. People are telling me that my teeth will only be "cursed" for 7 days, and after a week your teeth won't feel a thing. I wasn't believe in them as first, but now the sore is really gone, and I can eat pretty much everything that I used to....still with care of course, the steel mesh is still there, and I can still feel them trapping my food. I don't want people who I talking to in the afternoon telling me that I have my lunch stucking on my brace.

As mention of floss, I started flossing on my day 4, and my teeth hurt a lot the first night flossing, but just gets better every time. Now I can do floss with in 20 min (take me 40 min first time) ....yahoo...

Can't wait for my next adjustment on Sept 14th. I am going to get power chain and a bigger sized arch wire... I'd better eat my staining food now, because I am not going to touch those food after I have my lovely pink power chain...

Good luck with getting back to eating what you usually eat ... and eating it the way you usually eat it. It will get easier, but you've got to keep trying.

If the archwire is cutting your mouth, cover it with wax ... from one bracket, across the wire, to the next bracket. Sometimes it takes a bit more wax, but it will work ... and help your mouth feel loads better.

Sounds like you've got a great attitude and here's to your appointment in September going very well!
