Day 3...

Sunny, you were right, brushing several times a day which I thought was a good idea turned out to be not so good , my teeth and gums were on the sore side this morning - this is a learning is a process, sometimes a little tougher than others - no doubt about it .

Speaking of learning, I also learned a few new words today when I hit one of my top teeth against a bottom tooth (didn't know I had those words in me - lol). Still hurts to chew but its getting better each day - especially considering that not one of my teeth can actually touch the other.

On the bright side, I did floss today! Hooray!! No pain while flossing and it didn't take long at all.

Even though I am experiencing some discomfort, I am enjoying the transformation of my bite and being able to record the journey on this blog. I remind myself to have gratitude for this journey and the support I receive along the way.

I also discovered, through my supportive network that wax is my new best friend. I have it in my purse, coat pocket, office and truck! With wax life is good and thank you Sunny!

My next posting will be after one week. I have an appointment with the dental hygienist and for a general check up on Monday. However, due to sensitivity, I am considering canceling these - your thoughts?

I will post regularly at monthly intervals or after orthodontic check-ups (first one scheduled for six weeks from initial appointment).

That's great that there is less pain.

That's also great that you didn't go long without flossing.

Great to read that you're feeling so much better BracedHonda!

You did way better than me when I was flossing during the early days/weeks/months. It's great that your mouth is feeling so much better ... here's to that continuing for all your treatment.

I think you'd be best to postpone the appointment with your hygienist for a week or two, as you don't want your mouth to be sore due to this. I make my hygienist appointments in the week before an adjustment, that way my mouth is feeling great.

Keep up your great attitude ... and here's to the continuing great progress with your bite!
