Pain

Things are progressing as I have expected. However, I did not expect to have a chronic problem of repeatedly and unexpectedly banging my top tooth on a bottom tooth which has resulted in unbelievable pain and tenderness.
I find that the pain from my teeth really doesn't bother me much during the day. I am choosing soft foods, cutting it into small pieces in an effort to bring the blood supply to my teeth and gums to speed up the healing process and bring some sense of normalcy to my life. However, I find that I seem to cope with pain at night. Not certain why either of these things are happening.
In any event I do notice slight changes in tooth movement. The wax has been wonderful but I can only stand it on my teeth for a couple of hours and then I feel as though it is stuck between my teeth.
Braces or no braces, my personality has not changed. I still want to brush after every meal. I rinse with mouthwash regularly to reduce plaque.
Sunny, I did cancel the hygienist appointment, as you suggested for fear this would only further aggravate the pain and tension in my mouth.
Any other suggestions for pain or how I can reduce the banging of the top tooth against the bottom? Anyone else ever have these kinds of problems??![]()
