I seem to be doing much better, already feels like I have been in my braces for a long time, no problems. I haven't even had my first adjustment yet, but I have not had to use wax or had any mouth sores, I am so happy about that. What I cant stand is eating, It seems like such a process to get all the food out from around the brackets. It defiantly is a good way to not eat so many sweets because after one cookie I am like that is it, I just want to get them clean again. I still have a hard time showing them off in public, I guess because of my age. So far one awesome thing that has come out of this is that I was a nail biter my entire life and I cannot physically do that anymore, the brackets prevent that, I am so thrilled, even though it drives me crazy not to be able to, for once I will be able to enjoy a nice manicure in a few months. Hopefully I will continue to have more positives than negatives to have a good experience from this process. I have an appointment next week for more spacers on the back molars that they could not get a band on, and 2 weeks from my 1st adjustment. Here is a front face picture I took this weekend, Havent figured out my smile yet I have smiled with no teeth showing my whole life, but I cannot do that with the bulky braces, so I have to work on that

First, you have a beautiful smile!! Also, congrats on not needing wax. I didn't use most of my time in braces. You'll get used to eating with braces in. I didn't think I'd ever get used to it, but I soon figured out how to get food out of my braces with my tongue. I also started realizing how many people of all ages actually had braces, so it made me less self-conscious. I actually love my braces now and they're coming off soon.

Can't wait to hear about your continuing journey!

you're lucky that you don't need to use wax! though i totally understand the eating thing. as soon as i'm done with my food, all i want to do is run to the bathroom and brush my teeth. i can't stand the feeling/taste of food stuck to my brackets!

so funny that you've found an accidental positive to having braces!

your smile looks good already! i'd love to see a closeup. (and smiling will become easier as your teeth straighten out. i know it was super awkward for me at first too)

Thank you! My teeth were not very crooked to start with it was my bite that is so bad. I actually believe my bite has gotten worse since I got them on, hopefully within the next month or so it will get corrected. Its very uncomfortable because my upper teeth close right over the lower brackets, which is even more uncomfortable so I just feel like my jaw gets no rest because it has no where to sit
