Getting Started

Ok so on 9/15/11 I went in for my braces appointment. When I first got there they took several pictures of my face, smile, teeth, etc, they made molds of my teeth which did not bother me like it did some people because I have had these done before when getting a night guard made, I knew what to expect. My advice is don't think about it and breath through your nose it only takes a minute each time. After this they went ahead and started to fit me for my molar bands, this was NOT fun for me at all! ...

I am 27 and finally decided to go ahead and get the braces that I have always wanted (well not really wanted but do want the ending results). My teeth are not really bad and people are like what are you getting braces for!!! I have a deep overbite, my top teeth completely cover my bottom, bite is not aligned properly because of this which hascaused TMJ. My ortho also said I had a narrow smile which I never realized till he pointed it out, so he said he will widen my smile during treatment as well. ...
