Hi all, long time no um type?! My teeth are still very tender but thankfully not as bad, I am a month in now and boy oh boy has there been movement! Ulcer is all gone and mouth is toughening up nicely-never thought I would say that but hey!
I have a query though...I am flossing but I dont know if I am doing it right. Because the wire is half way down the tooth I cant get the floss all the way down to the gum like I used to, I can only go half way down..or up.I am using a proxy brush to clean around the brackets but because I cant floss I keep thinking I cant be cleaning properly. I have a request for an appointment for a clean but its weeks away! Help pleeeaaase!! xx

Great that your mouth is feeling better Bunny!

When you floss, you need to thread the floss under the archwire, so that it moves down just below your gum. Flossing is for gum health, so it must floss the gum area. Click here, to see a video about how to floss. I use oral b superfloss and find that I can thread the stiffened end between my teeth at the gum, which makes flossing quite easy.

    Good luck!

Ahhh! I see, you go under the wire...so obvious! I feel a bit silly now! Thank you though, great video. I will get some Oral B Super Floss on my lunch break. Lots of love. xxx

Don't feel bad Bunny, I had no idea either. You should have seen my contortions in front of the bathroom mirror those first weeks
