I hate my teeth soo much, even though everyone says they look fine, I can see faults in the positioning of them. My front teeth stick out slightly, the incisors are too far back and my canines stick so far out you almost can't see the rest of my teeth! And that’s only my top row of teeth. On the bottom row, the front teeth overlap slightly and a molar at the back sticks out towards my tongue?!

So, about a year and a half ago (?) my dentist made a referral to the local orthodontist, and about two weeks ago I gained a letter through the post saying I had an appointment on the 15th (yesterday!). Obviously I was really excited because I may get my teeth sorted out but nervous at the same time. Questions kept running through my mind, questions like 'what if my teeth are not bad enough to get treatment on the NHS?'. My parents were not going to pay for treatment if I was refused it on the NHS, which in a way, made me want the treatment more.

Anyway, yesterday I got up early to go to my appointment, kind of unsure on what it was going to be like or what to expect even. MY mum, having had braces herself, told me as much as she could, but it really didn’t help settle the nerves! Before long my name was called out in the waiting room and I went in and was told to sit down in the chair. After telling Dr. Hobbins what I didn't like about my teeth, I had a X-ray. I had to place my chin on a chin rest thingy and give an awkward smile whilst a grey sheet moved around the front of my head. It was really odd. Then after placing blue putty in my mouth to form a mould of my teeth, the verdict was made what shall happen to my teeth.

I am going to have on the 6th of September removable braces and during that time going to have two molars removed which I can get on the NHS. AHHH!!! I really don't know what to expect!
