Wow...am I always going to be marking the time?...every day I look at my calendar and think to myself..."ok, this is such and such day"
I am doing pretty good this week, the canker sore went away last week and that has been a big relief. I will take some pictures next week to mark my 1 month mark--Feb 5th. I am seeing changes, not so much pretty changes but just seeing the teeth move is pretty fantastic. Some of my bottom teeth have shifted, where there was absolutely no gap before, I can stick an index card in between now (okay so, I was bored at my desk one day, and had my mirror out and was checking--haha) My bite appears more crooked, hard to describe that but it looks that way to me.(have I mentioned my bottom teeth were the only straight ones in my mouth, kind of makes me sad to see them crooked now) I think my upper canines are down slightly, but I may just be wishful thinking. My teeth ache today, not a constant ache but I was trying to chew gum earlier and I can somewhat bite down on my right side, but my left...OWCH..so tender. My front teeth feel way wierd still, there's no way I can actually bite into anything, even soft foods. I am still cutting small bites, and bypassing the front teeth!
I ate a home made choc chip cookie yesterday, and could not even enjoy it because it hurt to chew still, half the cookie was packed into the brackets on my molars and then I had to brush and floss it all out. I miss enjoying my food.
Some of my teeth are feeling a tad bit loose, I think that's why the front feel so funny.
Will post the pics next week! Have a great week everyone!

That's great that the canker sore is gone.

Well sometimes it gets worse before it gets better.

Can't wait until you post pictures

Fantastic that the mouth sore is gone!

Hopefully you'll be enjoying your food very soon. I rarely remember I have braces when I eat ... until I think about the need to do a clean afterwards. With drinking water while I eat, most of the 'clingons' don't stay around, which means less brushing and wear and tear on my gums and enamel.

It's great that you can see so much movement, although frustrating that you have to go through the process of 'it gets worse before it gets better'. This does happen to most people during the alignment stage, as teeth are moved in and out of where they used to be.

Here's to your great progress continuing!

when I had my wisdom teeth out I made myself a whole lot of soft foods like sweet potatoes mashies, home made soup, and all combinations of smoothies. I know it's not quite on par with being able to eat everything you like but I think it helped to try new recipes and eat well despite my teeth being so sore.
