Ok, so week 6. I have a gap between my 2 front teeth, not huge..maybe like 1 mm? Which is crazy because one tooth overlapped in the beginning. I don't like this stage!!! I go for my adjustment next Thursday--YAY! this being my first, I really don't know what to expect. I know it's going to be uncomfortable, I really didn't think about this, but if my teeth are having a sensitive day, then the tech pulling off my ligs and replacing them-not gonna feel too good right? I was worried about the tightening part, and then when I was wiggling my almost loose teeth I started thinking about that. I remember patting my 10 years olds leg, when she was wincing and moaning a little bit during these appointments and thinking "c'mon girly, toughen up!" LOL....I am glad I am going on my lunch hour so she can't see her momma tear up!
I will take more pics after that visit, so ya'll can see my funny gap. On another note, I have rediscovered an old treat, and made it my new fave braces treat...a melty moon pie. BLISS with a fork. Love them, and although they get wedged in every which way, it doesn't hurt to eat them. As soon as I am done, I go brush it all out though before my teeth drown in sugar!
Anyway, not any real news this week, except my funky gap is not going away and I feel like people are STARING at it.

note--I did not have a gap between my 2 front teeth before. Quite the opposite actually, so this gap is way wierd!

Hope the gap goes away soon. Good luck at your next appointment.

Thanks for response to my blog =)
I too am hoping the eating will get better- I have my first appointment to tighten next wekk and I am wondering how that will be- since i last had them about 20 years ago I dont quite remember. I just know that my mom got hers at 35 and was told that adults tend to have more discomfort due to the teeth being all settled and such!
Good luck and try to do like me- one day at a time... sometimes one minute at a time.. =) and voice your frustrations- I find it is most helpful!
