Treatment is going really well! The rubber bands I started wearing 6 weeks ago have done major changes to my bite and he is pretty clear in that surgery is not the correct route and neither is extractions...the rubber bands are doing what he wants them to do. He is still focused on bringing my upper teeth back a little more. We discussed IPR on some of the teeth, by shaving a little amount, he says he will be able to bring them back just that little more extra that he needs. The tech put a power chain all the way across on my upper teeth, so I'm sure I'll be feeling that later, along with my thicker wire.
The next two appointments will be a little harder. He said something about starting steel ties, then IPR and then possibly repositioning a bracket to level out the upper teeth. They are obviously slanted a little and I am glad that will be addressed soon.
Anyways, I am a happy camper, not in too much pain yet...but I'm sure I'll be feeling it later.
