Well guys, here I am....28 days in....much better now at this point than I was at the beginning on January. There is definite movement in the front tooth. It has straightened up, but also now seems lower and makes my mouth seem crooked. I have a gap in my lowers that was not there before. I am having some sore spots in flossing, that were tighter (and some that are way looser) and I have trouble getting the floss in and end up getting it in applying pressure then makes my gum bleed. I am clenching at night and that stinks...I ache in the AM from that, and I hope I am not messing things up. I go for my first adjustement on Feb 26th---I know it will hurt but I am excited!!! I really want those fangs down ---ugh--when do you think that will happen?? More pics next month and hope to show more progress!!

Wow ... incredible for only one month!

Your bite has had to change, as your front teeth have straightened, and the appearance of these was quite different and so was the wear.

Your 'tighter' and 'looser' spots when flossing, proves more movement ... incredible. I recommend you talk to your ortho about the bleeding you're experiencing. Hopefully it's nothing, but healthy gums don't usually bleed, so it's best to have this checked.

Clenching is frustrating and something I also do. Make sure you tell your ortho about this also. It shouldn't affect your treatment, but best for your ortho to make that call.

Hopefully your adjustment will be a breeze ... like they are for most of us. I've never had one that hurt, but there have been a couple of recent ones that caused a few hours of discomfort, due to the bends in the archwire demanding immediate pressure. I have an adjustment in a fortnight ... and I can't wait!!!!!!!!!

I have no idea when your canines will come down further, but they're already looking improved ... so hopefully that part will be finished soon!

    Here's to progress!

My midline looks way worse now, why is this??
As for that one spot that bleeds, I think that is due to me shoving that floss up there...I try to gently maneuver it in, then when I am not expecting, it jams up there and OWCH, then makes it bleed a little.
Very excited about going back for more at the end of the month--LOL...even if it means some discomfort, I want more more more movement : )

Your midline could well be further to one side, due to the front upper teeth straightening, and other work that's happening with both arches. These types of changes are common during alignment, as the teeth now move beside each other, after having been in a variety of angles before. Talk to your ortho about your concerns.

Remember your teeth will continue to move, whether you see your ortho at the end of the month or not ... alhtough it's always good to hear how they see things. The archwires will continue to work to get your teeth into the arch shape they were in, prior to being put in your brackets ... so as long as your teeth aren't in a perfect shape yet ... you can be sure they're working!
