I'm a 31 year old mom to two girls ages 1 and 5. I've always wanted to do something about my teeth as I've never liked my smile but something always come up to prevent it from happening.

About 6 years ago I had an ortho consult with a not so good doctor. At the time I didn't know better and ended up having TMJ treatment that didn't work. I just ended up with an empty wallet.

I had Lap Band surgery approximately 5 years ago. After losing 140lbs I felt like my teeth always held me back and kept me from being as beautiful as I wanted to be.

I met with my new dentist and ortho (all one very smart person yesterday). He's gotten a lot of good reviews on a local forum.

I go on Feb. 2nd for my teeth cleaning and 2 fillings. I return on Feb. 4th for my ceramic uppers. I plan to get metal bottoms and the doctor estimates my treatment to be 18-24 months.

I'm so excited. I plan to post pictures after my Feb. 2nd cleaning.
