I was actually late for my follow up appointment after having my braces put on due to a family situation, gotta love 14 year olds.

I lost a bracket in the very back while at my Mom's House 100 miles away on a weekend. I decided to cut the wire back and ended up cutting it too far so with the wire stabbing into my cheek I decided to remove the wire and got in to see my ortho the next day as my rescheduled appointment wasn't until several days later.

I'm officially part of the club here as I got my first round of braces started this afternoon.

I'm not going to bore you with details as we kinda all BTDT. I'm just finding it interesting to eat due to having a Lap-Band that creates a need to chew my food very well and braces that make chewing difficult at the moment. I know I'll adapt.

The plan is to start on the top, I'll eventually get the metal ones in the back on top followed by full metal on the bottom.

Only a few more days til I get my braces. Tomorrow I get my heavy duty cleaning and a couple feelings then Thursday at 2pm (CDT) onto my braces! I've wanted this for over 15 years.

I can't wait to get to know all my braced brothers and sisters on here.
