On Monday January 29th I got new springs put in. My rubberbands had started irritating my lips so I havent wornn them in about a month and a half. The Ortho said I won't be getting my braces off in March as I thought. I really can't blame anyone but my myself. Not to mention these rubber bands are killing my mouth. I think this has been the worse pain ever. The pain is like a throbbing pain.

Hey guys this is the link to my official BLOG, please be sure to follow and check it out http://bracefaceqna.blogspot.com/
It has been around 10 weeks since i last updated my journey... mainly because i couldn't get onto the site...... so i thought i would give a quick update. Firstly, i have seen a great amount of movement and have been amazed at how quickly they moved in the first month, and how they continued to move in the last week! I had incredibly crooked teeth and a very bad (well i thought it was) overbite. And being 6ft 3", most people have to look up to talk to me and the gap ...
via my blog: Wired Journey That's right folks, my ortho FINALLY told me I can stop wearing rubber bands!! Well technically his words were "You can stop wearing rubber bands for now," but I'll take it! He wants to try and close up my gaps and overbite. He even tweaked my wire to straighten my upper teeth. He wants me to come in more often, about every 6 weeks, to get my power chain replaced so my gaps can close. I have a crap ton of gaps in my upper teeth. I mean literally, ...

Yesterday I had my first adjustments. It hurts now and I eat nothing but noodles. My ortho also fixed some elastic sort of band or chain around teeth surrounding two of my for gaps(to facilitate closing I guess).. I heard him mumbling about some wrong size 20... and " 21 is better".. Don't know what he meant...
Finally done just need a few adjustments TEETH.jpg
Got my wires in place with 2 power chains and 2 bands.
I was having dinner and the metal part on which the wire was bent on that had my molars fixed in place so they won't move broke off! The wire also loosened and the dentist said it won't matter much because I haven't had any tightening-ups yet and said he would tell about it to my ortho. My teeth are all straight now and it didn't take more than 3weeks for that. But the extraction gaps are still BIG !!!
Welp, I had my adjustment today. Not too much has changed. She did something funky with the existing wires, but it wasn't too bad putting them back in .. which was fantastic! She stated that everything looks good, yay! But, that the rest of the movement is my bottom teeth and how quick the elastics work and how well I am disciplined with wearing them. They're pulling my back teeth forward? I'll take a picture in a bit .. I'm still stuck with the molar buildups. No big deal. They're just there right ...
So today is my birthday and I woke up to find a bracket had became uncemented. This is now number to so I will be going to ortho tmrw morning at 8:45. Also has anyone had a painful expirence with a molar bracket??? it feels like some of the bite on the back broke off and my gum and tooth is so sensitive. Not to be confused though I am still in surgical hooks and wires, as I have my consult next month 1/10.
One Year in braces and probably less than a year to go !!!!!! I have not posted in awhile cause my braces are getting VERY VERY boring. I barely have any overbite maybe 1mm compared to 10mm a year ago when I started this journey. I went in for my 9th adjustment yesterday and asked the question....... SOOOOOOOOOOOO it's been a year, do I have another year and a half??? And he kinda thinks and hesitates and says OH NO, a year tops and maybe if I'm really ...

Although I've been in braces for quite awhile, close to 2 years (March), I want to write about my experience. I chose lingual braces for aesthetic purposes to bring down my impacted canine. My exposure surgery was June 2010. I thought my tooth would be in place by now but hopefully it will be there soon. My teeth were nice prior to braces although I had a mild overbite. Now my teeth are looking the worse and I'm struggling as I thought after this much time my teeth would look ...
So nothing really has changed besides doing 2 more sets of impressions and biting down on a blue arch thingy. I believe that one set was for my surgeon who i will be calling tomorrow morning and the other i thought i over heard was for retainers. Oh and i almost went my whole treatment without loosing a bracket. It happened today at ortho while the assistant tried to remove my surgical wires. there was no cement on my tooth at all but i guess the best place to have one break is there lol. I am now ...
via my blog: Wired Journey Well one year and a week has gone by and my 7th adjustment is done. My ortho says my teeth are straight, my bite looks good, and my debanding date will depend on how strict I wear my Class 2 rubberbands! He said I am way ahead of schedule (based on their records my original debanding date was Nov 1, 2012). So basically the more I wear my rubberbands, the sooner my braces come off! Woohoo! I think he is just trying to fix my midline. Just a guess, I didn't ...
