Funny stories about braces here.
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY to my braces! I can't believe it's been a year already... wow does time fly. I took the time to write a small letter to my braces in honor of this day: http://dswiz.blogspot.com/2011/11/ha...niversary.html (I am a weirdo, I know lol). I sure hope I don't have another anniversary and my braces come off in less than a year! Here's hoping!
okay so the other day when I went to get my attachment fixed it turned out that the attachment never actually made it on my teeth. it got stuck on the template and no one noticed. but they fixed it and it's fine now. that one tooth felt a little tight for about an hour but that's it it hasn't really changed anything. im really disappointed because in school alot of people have noticed. and I don't really understand why or how. I guess it makes it easier in a sense because now ...
OMG the Orthodontist put springs going from my back teeth to my canines.. I think this is the worst, it hurts so back. He also tied two of my teeth together along with me still having to wear rubber bands. The dental assistant said i would hate her in the morning and oh boy, I see why she said that LOL! I have about six more months left in my braces treatment and i will be free! :-D
Hey guys! It's just me. This is my first post and my first day with Bracesreview.com, and I have had my braces on for 1 year and 9 months. My orthodontists have an estimated guess of 2 years exactly, so I will most likely get them off in September!! 3 more months to go! Anyways, right now we are working on a few last details, such as gaps and such. My four top front teeth, when I look at it from the side, point outward a little bit, but other people don't see it, so I told my ortho about it an they ...
Hi guys Hope everyone is doing good. I HATE my braces lately I am having a few weeks of feeling sorry for myself and wishing the next 2 years will fly by. I know I was actually okay with them last blog but people keep commenting on how they make my lips stick out and how funny it is and how uncomfortable my mouth looks. People are MEAN!!!! I know they think it's funny but can't they lie about it now and then in 2 years tell me what a loser I looked like. SO today ...

So...remember my post about my F's, TH's & my V's? Or, in short, my new speech impediment? Well.. I got to see my orthodontist last Friday and I think he's enjoying the torture I'm going through lol Mind you, I have never seen an adult in his office other than the parents dropping their teens & tweens off... so I try my best to fit in with a group of pre-pubescents and its rather difficult.. I brought up my new speech impediment and my concerns with it, and the fact that ...
Hello all, I'm Orlando. I am a new blogger to this forum, and have been reading the blog posts for the past few days in entirety basically to distract my mind from how anxious I have become. For the past 18 years I have been sooooo insecure of my gap, it's small and between my front teeth and even though rarely noticed by others, It's always bothered me... and I am sure you guys know what I mean! Well, all and all, My teeth are pretty straight besides the movement of some back ones due to my wisdom ...
My "F"'s sound funny and so do my "TH"'s. No bueno.
Yesterday was the day when I had to say goodby to my bridges. But before the procedure I decided to make an experiment. Since a few days I felt that the pain caused by my braces has almost disappeared, so I decided to try to eat something that need to chew a bit more hardly. For my experiment I choosen a turkish restaurant close to my ortho's office, and ordered a gyros in pita. For my surprise I had almost no difficulty to eat! I was so happy! After my meal I went to the lavatory to brush my teeth. ...
So... Back in December I posted about having a small gap between my teeth on the left hand side. I saw my ortho on Wednesday and mentioned the gap to his assistant while she was setting up my files and things. He came in, she mentioned the gap and he looked "I don't see a gap," he says. "What!?" I ask and tongue the spot to make sure it hasn't closed on the ride over. "Can you point it out to me?" he asked ...

It's really funny and embarrassing when you get caught "tonguing" your braces in public after a meal.
I've been living off soggy Cinnamon Toast Crunch since Wednesday. This has led to a horrible new hobby: removing cinnamon specks from ceramic braces with clear ligaments. I can lightly bite with the back teeth without issue now. The front teeth are still rather sore. I'm being a wuss but since I'm a wuss who cooks for herself Anny's Pasta Diet of aught9 continues!
I'm taking a swim class and the pool tonight was FREEZING! I got in the water and did my customary "tooth chatter" dance while warming up. Turns out teeth chattering while in new braces is a bad idea! The scraping pain was worse than just bearing the cold with a clenched jaw LOL Luckily warming up happens quickly I'm still not chewing like a "normal" person. I've been defaulting to soft bread, pasta and soggy Cinnamon Toast Crunch (I'm the paradigm ...
