I have crowded teeth and im very self concious, im only 17 and i really hate smilling in photos with my mouth open. They're obviously not the cheapest things to get but i would love to know places where its affordable and will get the job done! Help?
Hi So this will be my blog to help me keep up with my progress and share it with others. I received my first set of aligners on Tuesday January 3, 2012. They were tight at first and I think it shocked me how much they hurt in the beginning. The pain was not unbearable I took some asprin and it was fine. Hi my names Abbie, i am 15 years old I have been found to have an impacted canine on my left side, and my appointment to have it down with a gold chain has finally come through. But i haven't got braces on yet which is a bit of a pain, and i am afraid that it is really going to hurt when i have my mould done, because the mould will go in the hole that the chain is coming from....has anyone got the same problem as me...i am really scared.x

I am getting my braces done at the University Orthodontist Clinic. My biggest problem was my upper canine tooth. I joined this forum, hopefully there are enough people active on here to get advice and ask questions. On November 30th, 2011 I got the brackets put in. I need 4 extractions so they did not put the wires in. After the brackets were put in, they took me upstairs to the Oral Surgery Clinic to make an appointment for the extractions on December 12th. Hey everyone! i was just wondering if anybody has the same kind of teeth as i do , can give me any advice? i'm thirteen and i have a slip that says my mom is suppose to call and make an appointment with an orthadontist. the thing is every time i ask when she will make an appointment she just tells me "i dont know" I know braces are expensive abd all but i just really want to know how long i might have braces...? just a guess anyone? i have these two babyteeth ...
Hey. I have a minor underbite. I've had my braces for 3 months now and I have a molar bracket that broke. The circular piece is still on my tooth but the thingy that pokes out it like unlatched. The wire and elastic bands are still attached but I don't know if its that serious.. I don't want to go back to the orthodontist affraid of what they'll say. I most definetly don't want to add another month of braces to my 2 years.. Should i wait until my appointment 7 days from now or go tomorrow? :/ Please ...

I am very excited to post that as of 9/22/11, I officially no longer wear braces!! It was two days before my birthday, so it was the ultimate birthday present. I had them for six days shy of two full years, and it's amazing to see and feel them so straight and smooth. When I went in for the appointment, I wasn't sure if they were coming off that day because a space had opened up, but my orthodontist took one look at my retainer mold, saw no space on that, said the retainer would take care of it ...
