Post progress here.
Just a quick update. Just got done at the orth. I knew I was having the attachments put on today - 8 total (3 upper and 5 lower) but my orth also did some IPR since I will be switching trays weekly with Acceledent. They Acceledent finally came in last week. It took them a month to get it so be warned if your orth doesn't keep any in stock. I was a little nervous about getting the attachments but it really wasn't so bad. You just have to keep your mouth open for a long time. Two of ...
Today I had my second adjustment! I got two new wires, top and bottom, nice and thick lol, well from the first one on the top anyway. I think the orthodontist said they were both 0.6 but i have no idea, i really should listen when he is talking to his assistant instead of thinking "PLEASE DONT PULL MY TEETH OUT!" lol. I got Lilac ligs, in person, they dont look much different to the baby pink ones :( but in pics, they come up really nice. Here are some progress ...
I know I just updated with a video yesterday, but now that I've got acquainted with Tray 17, I wanted to share a quick post (as promised!). I put in the new trays last night. Uneventful, really. Not the easiest trays to put on but not the hardest. But I will say the chewies have been a worthy investment. Before, I'd use my fingers and thumbs to make sure the trays settled down. Now I just use the chewies. And if I'm home, I chew on it after putting the trays back on. It's a ...
Thought I'd do an update after reading all my Invisalign friends' posts about being close to the finish line. I'm getting a little close as well; I started tray 18 last week, out of 22 total. Next week, I will pick up trays 19-21. Since my last appointment, I have realized how many questions I have so I'm ready for my appointment next week to get some answers. For those of you who are curious, here is the story/main question(s). A couple of years ago, I had to have ...

Hello, friends! I figured it was time for another video blog. It's been a while since me (or anyone else, for that matter) has done a video, so I thought it was time. Especially since I came back from the orthodontist. As stated in the video, I change to Tray 17 tonight. I'll do another post to show pictures, and let you know how the adjustment is going, in the next day or two. But for now, my thoughts after my visit (nothing bad, just a couple of interesting things). ...
I have been MIA for a while sorry kids! been visiting my Nanna and my sister had her baby on the weekend so I am an Aunty its all been very exciting!! I had my first clean with braces on this morning! It all went well, Dentist said that I am cleaning them well, its just hard to get around the molar bands and there was a bit of bleeding but he said that is normal, so that is ok! Thought I would post a few pics :) next week is my 2nd adjustment, so I will ...
Can't believe I am already on tray 25. Wow time really does fly. In two weeks I go in for a few more attachments (on my front teeth, etc) and get five more trays. Only ten more to go! This is crazy. I couldn't be happier. I know I'll need refinements but the progress I've seen already is more than enough to be grateful for. Can't wait to see what they look like after the last set, never mind after refinements.
Just a quick update. The first 2 weeks in my first set of trays was pretty uneventful. I bit of pressure the first day or so but not really any pain. It did take me a bit to get used to having all that plastic in my mouth. I was really surprised to notice some tooth movement after 1 day. I noticed a big difference when flossing some of my lower front teeth where I have some significant crowding. It does take some getting used to all the tooth brushing and I did need to adjust my ...
Well, last night I changed trays. I got my chewies in the mail after getting home from out of town yesterday, so I was able to try that for the first time after changing the trays. It definitely was easier than trying to push up/down on the trays with my fingers. I tried the chewie again this morning as my teeth are definitely sore (mainly in the front) but it was hard to do it in the front since they hurt! I'm hoping it's getting the blood flowing and it ultimately helps :) My ...
Wellll, my human experiment sort of failed. I wanted to see who would notice and when.. so, that got ruined when on Friday after a few vodka/sodas I was like, "I have Invisalign!" Oh well. But then these friends were like, "how long have you had them?" and I said "About two weeks" and they were surprised and said they were definitely invisible. Cool! And then Sunday I was having dinner with my family and I got caught post-meal brushing.. since I've ...
It's already a week since I changed to the second trays. My first set was not so uncomfortable and I can definetly say this new set is not bad as well. At the very beginning it felt very tight and I had some minor discomfort for the next three days especially on my upper front teeth. Anyway nothing unbearable. After one week with the second set all is quite and I'm looking forward to the third one. See you soon.

My orthodontist told me that on Wednesday, and then he laughed like it was hysterical. So it sort of made me giggle.. And it's not totally untrue. :) Four days in... this first set is weird, because I'm like "meh, they're comfortable, I hope something is actually happening." And then I take them off to eat and I can see a gap between my front right tooth and the little tooth to the right of it.. I don't know what it's called. Anyway that was interesting and somewhat ...

I'm 2 months shy of having my braces for a year! Today I had 2 TADs placed on the top. Getting them placed was painless but now that I'm home they're definitely sore! Treated myself to orange Julius for lunch hoping the pain only lasts a day ish!
Tray 15 is here! And off to a, well, slightly painful start. I'm used to there being pressure when I change trays, but not actual pain right away. My top crooked tooth hurt a bit when I put the tray on. My bottom tray went on without much effort compared to some other previous trays, but it doesn't look like it fits right. But, my teeth have to actually move to fit in them, so I'm not worrying about it for the time being. The problem is if there is a problem - I am flying out of town Thursday ...
