Post progress here.
Only 9 trays left for my upper arch! There's still a lot of movement needed, but I can say things go according to plan and I'm pleased with the results so far. Well, except for the IPR issue. I'm still angry about that. My midline will never look vertical The lower arch has still 29 trays to go.
Howdy! So, I have now had my Damon Clear braces for exactly 5 weeks. Throughout the last month I have had very brief moments of VERY minor aching in a few isolated teeth. Eating with braces is like riding a bike. It took a few days, but now I barely think about them when I'm eating. I thought about nothing but my braces for probably 2 straight weeks, and now I think about them quite a bit less. Mostly only when I'm meeting new people or friends that have not seen me since I ...
via my blog at: Wired Journey It's only been 2 weeks and I can see and feel a difference in my bite. Teeth are now touching that weren't touching before! I was wondering what my ortho had planned when he was tweaking my wire. Awesome! Even though my bite is INFINITELY better than before I had braces, he still wants to bring my lower teeth down more, which may require a wire change or something else. I might not be in my last wires now. Here are some pics! Week 64 - ...
People are right, when you can't see the progress unless you study the photos. My lower teeth are showing the most, because they had power chains. I am assuming because I had a slight cross bite, they needed to correct the bottom more before correcting the top. Im amazed. I didn't think my lower left canine was even moving. There is no gap like the right side, but apparently, it's moved inward. Here's before: The lower row almost in a straight line ...

On Monday January 29th I got new springs put in. My rubberbands had started irritating my lips so I havent wornn them in about a month and a half. The Ortho said I won't be getting my braces off in March as I thought. I really can't blame anyone but my myself. Not to mention these rubber bands are killing my mouth. I think this has been the worse pain ever. The pain is like a throbbing pain.

So got all my details on surgery the other day. Will be happening on April 4th and I am on a soft food diet for 6 weeks after which means no chewing, getting all my favorites in before hand. Anyways nothing new has happened as now I am not seeing the other until 2 weeks after I have my surgery. Will keep your guys posted. I will have to post new pictures once I can get my computer to let me on as thats where all my camera stuff is loaded. Also all thats left after surgery is fine ...
Since my first adjustment, I have not noticed that much change. Just slight gaps by 2 of my canines. As I'm reading getting more acquainted with the different types of braces, I am wishing I had gone with Damon. Grr.
It has been around 10 weeks since i last updated my journey... mainly because i couldn't get onto the site...... so i thought i would give a quick update. Firstly, i have seen a great amount of movement and have been amazed at how quickly they moved in the first month, and how they continued to move in the last week! I had incredibly crooked teeth and a very bad (well i thought it was) overbite. And being 6ft 3", most people have to look up to talk to me and the gap ...
via my blog: Wired Journey That's right folks, my ortho FINALLY told me I can stop wearing rubber bands!! Well technically his words were "You can stop wearing rubber bands for now," but I'll take it! He wants to try and close up my gaps and overbite. He even tweaked my wire to straighten my upper teeth. He wants me to come in more often, about every 6 weeks, to get my power chain replaced so my gaps can close. I have a crap ton of gaps in my upper teeth. I mean literally, ...

I had an adjustment yesterday and although my orthodontist told me twice that my he would be closing the large gap this visit, he did not. I can't understand how things change from one visit to the next and nothing is explained to me. Frustrating! My tooth didn't have much movement last month but I'm hoping it will this month.
I had my braces put on tues 10th Jan. The first day was as though they were tricking me. There was no pain or discomfort and I was telling everyone how great they were. Approx 6hrs later they showed there true colours! Downing painkillers and eating cold jelly helped take the swelling down but it was still uncomfortable. The braces themselves weren't bad, there was no rubbing on my gums and my teeth weren't sensitive so I researched potential problems and realised my gums were swollen and my teeth ...
So, regardless of varying opinions from friends and family about whether I should start treatment so soon or without getting multiple doctor's opinions or treatment options...I trusted my gut and started my treatment on the 4th, last Wed. So, last week I drove to the ortho office, slapped my down payment on the counter and they escorted me to the back. My ortho office has an "adult" room which I assumed is where I would be, but I wasn't. I was placed in a chair in the ...
Hi So this will be my blog to help me keep up with my progress and share it with others. I received my first set of aligners on Tuesday January 3, 2012. They were tight at first and I think it shocked me how much they hurt in the beginning. The pain was not unbearable I took some asprin and it was fine. I do not think it was the actual pain that shocked me, but I think I did not prepare myself of how much of a change it will be. The "pain" only lasted two days on and off. ...
Okay so basically my treatment as been boringly uneventful. I guess that's what happens when you get close to your de-banding date right?? (At least I hope I'm close!) I think my ortho is trying to perfect my midline, and I have seen definite improvement since a few weeks ago. Shoot, I better see improvement since I've been wearing my rubber bands like my life depends on it! Lets take a look Week 62 - Almost there!!! My midlines are SO close! ...
I've never been one to smile with teeth. Never ever. My teeth were always crowded, and it just wasn't pretty (lol) so I didn't do it. Now that my teeth have straightened out, it's been/will be a huge adjustment. While on vacation (to San Francisco!!) in December, we snapped quite a few pictures. I was surprised to catch myself smiling with teeth way more than usual (anything more than zero is more than usual) so I figured I would post and share my smile with you! ...
