I have a gap!!! :-D

Almost 5 months into treatment -- 4 days before my 5th adjustment -- and I've seen something I've never before seen in my lifetime...

My two front teeth no longer overlap!!! I noticed it this morning, and my coworker even laughed and said, "You have a gap in your teeth now!" I didn't even care that she was laughing at me. THIS... is what's bothered me my whole life. I've always looked like I've had one big front tooth, and now I have (almost) two separate teeth. It's only a little noticeable from the front:



However... when I turn to the side a bit...:


There's even a huge gap between two of my lower teeth (you can see it in the side pic. No, it's not a piece of pepper. LOL!). I know it's just the beginning... and it may even be gone by the time I wake up tomorrow morning, but for now I'm stoked.

    I can feel your excitement ... !!! ... my front teeth overlapped and I can remember the day my ortho attached a powerchain to help pull them apart ... it was so damn exciting! Your gap looks fantastic!

    Wahoo! Look at you go girl! I remember when I finally realized that my two laterals weren't poking out farther than my two front teeth anymore. I could hardly believe it!! Now I'm going on 17 months and I'm DYING to see a finished result. We are all going to have such awesome teeth!

    P.S. Still jealous of your brackets.
