Alright, I'm 7 and a half months into my treatment! Horray!

At my last adjustment, on November 5th, my ortho gave me elastics. He told me to wear them at least 20 hours a day, but the more the better. I've definitely been wearing them more than 20 hours. I only take them off to eat and brush.

I have noticed severe improvements in the past few weeks. For example, the vertical gap between my front top and bottom teeth is nearly non existent now. Never in my life have my top and bottom teeth touched. It's such a weird feeling! I can actually chew and bite food with my front teeth. I'm really excited about these improvements, and how quickly they have happened. I'm hoping this means I can get my braces off soon.

The only downside lately is that I've been having bad headaches. I'm not sure if these are related to my braces, but they are killing me.

    It's fantastic that your elastic wear is doing such a great job.

    Talk to your ortho about your headaches, but there's a chance they're connected, especially since you're having a lot of tooth movement. There's many great medications available for headaches.

    i think the headaches are related to be getting sick because now i have the flu!

    Well, I hope the headaches were the onset of flu, and not from the elastics. Hope you feel better soon. And do revel in that new bite of yours - we put in our time to getthese results, so we deserve to enjoy them.
