I just started on my 5th tray this week. On Wednesday, I went for a check up and to my surprise my ortho told me that she won't be using attachments for my treatment because the trays are doing their job on their own~She went on to tell me that she went to a invisalign seminar few months ago and she found out that if the teeth need to be straighten, but are not turned, then there's no need for attachments.
I am confused because every blog/forum I researched before getting my treatment started said that attachments are added early in the treatment.... this is not to say that you can go and ask your ortho not to use attachments, please dont do it.
Thank you for comments or feedback.

Invisalign has been around for quite a long time ... and for many years it was a procedure using aligners to straighten teeth. Therefore it makes sense that if a person requires only basic alignment, this treatment would be suitable. Most people require more than just basic tooth movement, as rarely are teeth out of alignment without some rotation needed, therefore in most cases the best results can only be achieved with attachments.

Good luck with your treatment Claudia!

There are certain situations where attachments are not required. Hopefully your doctor has correctly identified your situation as one of those. Good luck!

Thank you for your comments. I'm hoping not to be a guiney pig but I'll have to wait and see.
