Hehe yep the pictures are so much fun to compare, can't wait for the weeks to go by and see bigger changes ! There's this one tooth on the bottom that isn't in the wire yet (its wayy on the right with only the bracket on) , so I can't wait for my next appt when they'll hopefully be able to place the wire through! Thanks for the support guys this brace journey is a lot of fun so far
Hey another Canuck! Yay. Best of luck.
Wooo! Me too! I see it! I know with my first few weeks it was the bottoms for me that moved fastest. My Ortho says the smaller the tooth, the smaller the root, and the faster it'll move. Yay! Hang in there! Progress pics rock! I promise you'll look at them, analyzing them, for many minutes in shock. You'll never have these "before" teeth again so its great to look back. People I meet now look at me and say "your teeth look great, why did you need braces?"! It cracks me up. I'm like "you have no idea"! LOL
I definitely see some movement there! Yay for progress!
Your teeth are looking good and those gaps are closing! Isn't it funny how you now notice every little thing down to the last millimeter with your teeth? lol I stare at my teeth all the time! The way your teeth are moving I'm sure you will be done in November (like me!)
Thanks everyone!! If you looked at my before braces pic my arch was so narrow! I don't believe how wide it is now. Originally Posted by Ellebraced WOW you are soooo close. Your smile is amazing!!! We'll see how that goes!

WOW your teeth look amazing. I was checking out your befores and your teeth look so good now, you are going to shock your family with your new smile. I can't believe your tooth moved that much in 3 hrs, that's nuts. I wouldn't worry too much about the midline, mine is almost changing daily. I too am always worried if any little thing is delaying the process, if I had gone in for an adjustment a week earlier would they be off in time for the family reunion.....ughhhh There is so many variables we really can't over analyze it or it will drive us crazy. I think November is a long ways off and your teeth should be there by then (lol not that I am an expert but I do think they are looking really good) Keep wearing those elastics 24/7 and remember to change them all the time I think that helps them work better.
pl post pics
Lookin' great, girlie!! It's so funny - my open bite is on my left side, and looks JUST like yours does on the right side. And your front view looks JUST like mine, except my teeth are higher on the left, instead of the right. That's where the resemblance ends, though. I agree with BlondeAddiction - your arches are so WIDE and a lovely U-shape! I would love for mine to look like that. But I think it's a family trait, as I have 3 siblings and a nephew with the same arches as I do. Pretty soon, we will all be debraced!
Goodness I am sooo jealous! Your Blog is all happy and mine is all sad. LOL! Man your teeth look so good! My arches are nowhere NEAR that wide! Double jealous!!! LOL
Thanks guys. I hope I help people get through the process like so many others helped me. I keep thinking of things I should have added... Like how bad spacers were because my teeth were so tight before I couldn't even floss. How my bite was so off before it was hard to bite into a onion ring or lettuce it just wouldn't break. How nervous I was walking in to get braced and how weird it felt in my mouth to have all the brackets and ughhhh. LOL But all that discomfort was still worth it. And really it wasn't that bad, just more of a pain in the butt that will be over soon. Braces has taught me to be more patient and to not care about silly things as much. I thought I would hide in my house for 2 years because I felt so awkward but you know what sometimes you just have to SUCK IT UP and do things that feel uncomfortable to get the results you want. And it's just teeth really, had I accepted the awkwardness from the beginning and just let me be me it would not have been so weird in the beginning. Oh and I don't want to scare anybody to not get braces. I was so self conscious about my upper wonky tooth even though from afar my smile was good. Now I can't stop looking in the mirror and imaging the smile behind the brackets and wire. Good luck to those thinking of fixing their smile, those starting their journey, those in the middle, those at the end and those retaining their new smiles :-)
Yes, a fantastic post. I sure it will be an inspiration to others.

I don't think the teeth are any longer (as stated). The brackets are placed low on uppers sometimes to pull the teeth UP, and placed high on lowers to push them DOWN. I have a few that are really high and others that are low. In fact, I have one bracket that, 10 mos later, is positioned too high on my lower canine. This week we will be removing it and placing it at the very top of that tooth to bring it down

This post is awesome! This makes me want to write one! I can totally relate to almost everything you wrote. Especially when you said that you can't wait to feel more comfortable and attractive again. I have not felt pretty or attractive either since I've been sentenced to braces and I haven't wanted to smile in many pictures either. Every time I see my braces in pictures I'm just like "UGHHHH!" We are almost done. I can't wait to see pictures of you with them off!
I just ate two corn on the cobs the last 2 nights and after I read this post I grabbed my mirror and thoroughly looked at my brackets lol! Luckily none are broken for me =) Wow you are almost there! 2-3 more months and you'll be done! How exciting! But going through a broken bracket is NOT fun. The pink power chain really does look nice!
I had IPR done last week on my lower front teeth. They said it helps with retention too ( I guess creating enough space and also meeting the teeth meet on a straighter edge) . It was just a bit of shaving and it seemed to help one last tooth get into place better. By the time I got home the smalls spaces created had mostly closed up. I have 2-3 months left. My lowers were crowded before. It felt a little weird but no pain and smelled funny for a second when he used the power thing LOL. It was all good though. Good Luck!
