Second Set

Posted 05-24-2008 at 03:02 PM by x2k
Last night marked the end of my first 3 weeks of wearing my first set of aligners (1 week without attachments, 2 weeks with). Worryingly a small split appeared up the front of the bottom set a week ago and has gradually got bigger and bigger.

My dentist advised me if they're still usable then hold out, if not move to set 2 early. Luckily they lasted - and fitted as snugly as ever thanks to the attachments.

So last night I followed the advice I've read in several posts & blogs here. And that's to start a new set just before going to bed giving the teeth time to adjust overnight.

GOOD ADVICE!!

Yikes, they were tight going on, and as also mentioned by others, my teeth are quite achey and tender today. I believe this lasts 2 days or so, but I'm not really worried.

The good thing is I can feel something, so they must be working. I've also been taking weekly photos which I intend to make into a timelapse video once my treatment is complete. That should be fun to watch (if not a little freaky).

So... only 2 weeks until set 3!

Great your aligner lasted the distance x2k!

Here's to your next set achieveing the changes you're looking forward to.

It should be fun to watch the movement of your teeth using time lapse video. Good luck with that!
