Trays - #12

I had my ortho appointment yesterday to move to tray 12. (22T/14B trays needed in total.) Anyway, I thought this was going to be a quick visit just to get another set of trays, but the tech told me that I would need filing for the first time. I saw my paperwork and sure enough, it showed 2 filings before tray 12, 1 before tray 13, and 1 before tray 15. So my ortho comes over, checks my teeth and says he isn't going to file because I have normal spacing between them and he may just file at the next visit if it's needed. Keep in mind, by the next visit, I will be finished with tray 14. I asked if I should contact him if my teeth start to get tight before my next appointment and he said no, he would just decide then. I find that a little odd, but I guess he's the ortho and knows what he is doing. Anyway, there's more.... he gave me my top tray for 12 and told me to put it on, and then handed me the bottom ones. I picked up the bottom ones and noticed they didn't have notches for the buttons. I pointed this out and he had the tech pull up my clincheck and sure enough, I was suppose to have my bottom buttons taken off that day also. I LOVE not having the attachments on the bottom anymore, just wish the top ones were coming off soon! So far my teeth have made a lot of progress and in about 6 weeks, my bottoms will be finished. I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that I won't need refinements, but knowing my luck - I will. Anyway, just wanted to stop by and update my progress.
Hope everyone is doing well with their treatment!!!![]()
