Getting close to the end!

My adjustment on Monday was a good one, and the ortho's tech said one of my last!

She said that I'm in month 19 of 24 and I'm in the finishing stages. I had a few bends in my arch wire put in to start straightening out the crooked laterals. They also put springs across my laterals to start opening up a small gap between them and my two front teeth. Because my laterals are slightly smaller than my other teeth he is going to leave a gap and 'putty' up those two teeth so they match in size. Oh, and no more power chain!! No more bright yellow rings around my teeth after I eat curry - no more bright pink ones after I've eaten spaghetti. YAY!

My next appointment is January 10. That is the appointment in which they will put the putty on my teeth since there will be a gap there, and finish the straightening, and then I am DONE!!

Soon as I find, or buy a replacement for, my cord to upload pics from my camera I will post the progress I've been making!

    Brilliant Denise.....I feel your anticipation! The last few months seem to take ages don't they? That 'putty' business sounds amazing, i've never heard of it so I can't wait to see pics to see what that's all about! Keep it going girl, not long now.........

    Thanks!! I'm glad because I don't know how much more of this I can take. My current elastics configuration absolutely kills my teeth, and the elastics are so tiny that they frequently snap off the brackes and cut my cheeks and lips. Every time i put them on they pull my teeth so hard it makes my jaws hurt. So close to being done.......soooo close!!

    OMGoodness Denise that is absolutely wonderful news! I am also curious about the putty on your teeth since my ortho recommended at the beginning of my treatment that she wanted to do the same thing. I can't wait to hear how your putty journey goes.
