Happy Birthday Braces o' mine

Ok technically it's not until Thursday the 8th, but I have time right now to post so I'm taking the opportunity. What's a few days amongst friends, right?

So I had an ortho appointment today. Said things are looking fantastic. Teeth are moving at the expected pace (1mm/month). I didn't get a new wire today, but I did get a new power chain and they told me that I'm going to start coming in every 3 weeks for a new power chain to help the process.

I told them I want these off by my "golden" birthday (the ortho assistant called it golden) and NO I'm not 50 *L*. Apparently it's golden because this year my birthday is on 10.10.10. - ANYWAY, they said that is a very realistic goal and that's what we're shooting for!!

So this is what the last year of pain, heartache, tears, and scars have produced (ok maybe not so much of all of those...)

I'm very happy with how much progression has been made so far and I'm totally stoked to see how the next 6 months play out!!

    WOW! I am so amazed. This may sound weird, but your "new" teeth hardly resemble your "old" teeth. Congrats to you, and I can't wait to see them on 10/10/10 (that is too cool!)

    Technical question: How did you get your pics to "stick together" like that?

    I used photoshop to create one long 'canvas' and pasted each pic on the canvas as an individual layer, and then used the text tool to add the words. Each one of those double pics is one single image. Thanks for the congrats, I sometimes can't believe the new teeth myself!

    I'm so jealous I could spit........oh no, hang on, I do that anyway! Congratulations, 1 year is such a milestone, I still have 2 months to go but I have been getting very excited about it already. Well done.
