Woo! My brackets are on at LAST! Still 4 weeks before I get wires in but horray! The biggest cosmetic step is done XD

I only have to use wax in one spot too: the inside of one of my bands. They have this rough extra metal on the insides and it rubs against my tongue in one spot. That's it!

Well darn, some disappointing updates.

After I went to the dentist on Thursday, he decided my teeth had too much plaque on them to get my braces on Monday. I also had three molar cavities. Over all not bad for the horrible dental care I've had!

So my new treatment plan is this: Fillings on Monday (as opposed to brackets ), deep scale cleanings on Wednesday, and then I have to "go back" to my dentist at some unknown, vague time, and after that he'll say ...

So I'm quickly discovering which foods are too hard to eat with spacers in... Would you believe hot pockets are on that list?? I never considered hot pockets "hard" until now! Well, I have some potatoes I can go make. For now, I'm chewing with my front teeth haha.

Hello! My name is Tyna, I'm 24 and today was my first real appointment with my orthodontist. I filled out my payment paperwork, had my molds taken, x-rays done, and spacers put it.

The spacers don't hurt too much; I don't know how many of you guys have had to use spacers but let's just say my teeth are packed! I also had really crummy oral health for nearly a decade so I have a lot of plaque build up - the cleaning on the 12 will take care of that!
