I got my top braces on yesterday. I was a bit nervous, but it went really well.
They told me that my mouth would be sore for a few days, but not to "baby" my teeth. So the first thing I did was eat a hamburger and chew on some gum.
This morning, I woke up and they are pretty sore. I feel like if I were to touch them, they'd fall out. Now, it's definitely hard not to baby them and eat soft foods.
I'm still not used to my braces and it feels weird when I look in the mirror, but I was assured that I'd get used to them soon. I got the ceramics, so they're not as noticeable in pictures and when you stand from a distance, but they are noticeable.
My next appointment is in September. I guess they'll tighten them and decide when to put my bottoms on.

Congrats on the start of your braces journey! Make sure to take pictures ASAP of your teeth and take progress pictures every week or two! It is pretty awesome to compare pictures and see how your teeth are moving! You can check out my blog if you want to see mine :)

Thank you for the advice! Any advice is definitely appreciated lol
I took some pics before I had them put on, but I failed to take some after. I will definitely get on that.
    Thanks, again!

The first couple months my teeth were constantly moving, so I was applying wax on my braces pretty liberally. Also drink a lot of water. It will help when your mouth gets dry. After every adjustment your teeth will be sore for a couple days to a week. I usually don't take pain meds, but I do change the foods I eat for that week. If you have any questions don't be afraid to ask :)
