oops!! i totally forgot to make an entry for tray 9. I guess it doesnt really matter because nothing exciting happened! lol. I switched to tray 10 last night. Before placing it in there, i checked the alignment of my two front teeth...guess what?? almost straight!! woot woot! The next time i vist the ortho (jan 3rd- i think) i pick up my very last straightening tray for my bottom teeth. The elastics are closing up my overbite nicely. Its still not completely closed but its close. ...
As stated in my last post, i had to move to tray 8 a little early because i accidently threw tray 7 away. I havent had any issues with tray 8 which is great! I have noticed a big improvement with my 2 bottom front teeth...they are finally straightening out again! When i was young, i decided to chew on a lego and it loosened my baby tooth but it never fell out right away. The adult tooth was growing in behind my baby tooth, which in return caused my adult tooth to come in crooked. My baby tooth had ...
I made an impromptu visit to the cafeteria to have lunch with a few of my co-workers. I carefully sneak out my invisalign, wrap it in a napkin and stick it in my pocket. After lunch, i'm jibber jabbering away and decide to take the trays out of my pocket. Deciding it was time to go, i walked over to the trash and threw everything out. I sat down to talk to someone else real quick and i'm feeling aroudn my pocket for my trays...oh SH!T...where are my trays???? i scan the floor...nothing..i look at ...
I had to go to the orthodontist today for my check up. OMG...it was like a playground in there... PARENTS CONTROL YOUR CHILDREN! I had this 8-9 year old kid climbing all over me to see the TV in the cornor..come on..teach your kid some manners.. As far as my teeth go, everything is coming along smoothly. So i casually made the remark.. "i cant wait to see some movement in my front teeth" so the assistant was like "Lets check the video!!"...Well that was awfully ...
Well the end of tray 5 was interesting. I have always had a gap in my molars on my upper left side and its been annoying because stuff would always get stuck in there. I noticed that at the end of tray 5, this gap widened, so now its super annoying to eat anything. Tray 6 popped in last night with no issues. Sometimes i need to press down on certain teeth to make everything click in. Everything seemed to fit right in place this time. I woke up this morning and my two bottom front ...
The elastics must be doing there job. By the end of tray 4, even with all of the attachments, the trays popped out with ease. I was surpised. I switched over to tray 5 last night. I had alot of pressure, especially on my bottom teeth. Thankfully, when i woke up this morning, the pressure was gone and the trays popped out of my mouth fairly easily. I was comparing all my old bottom trays to tray 5 and i really see a difference. My front two bottom teeth have been turned in slightly ...
I switched to tray 4 last night. Everything clipped in very nicely. When i woke up this morning, the top left half of my mouth hurt so i'm assuming thats where most of the shifting is taking place. I've been trying really hard not to chew off my nails when my aligners come out. I'm thankful for my efforts because it was alot easier to take the trays out this morning lol. I really hope to start seeing changes soon, especially on the bottom. Other than that, things are great and i have no complaints ...
Well, i went in today to get fitted for tray 3 and receive my attachements. I got a total of 10 attachments. The process for bonding them to my teeth wasnt horrible. Whatever adhesive they use is disgusting. The only downside is i have 2 attachments on my one front tooth, and i'm really self conscience about it right now. They really arent that noticible. They dont feel that bad in my mouth either..well at least with the trays in. Speaking of the trays....I'm currently sitting at ...
i was hesitant about posting before pictures as i am not real proud of my teeth. However, to keep everyone updated and to compare progress in the future, i attached some of the pictures the ortho took.
Well i feel like its graduation day. I moved on to tray 2 last night. I was very surprised that tray 2 didnt "snap" in like the first tray. They easily fitted over my teeth. I followed the recommendation of others and took a couple of tylenol before bed to ease pain. I was super scared removing my trays this morning because i had so much pain the next morning from tray one. But surprisingly, no pain and they popped right out! I dont know if its a good or bad thing that ...

So i just completed my first week with tray one, and as mentioned in my earlier post, i am wearing elastics (rubber bands) that are attached to my canine and second from last bottom molar on each side of my mouth. Now since my teeth have moved slightly, i cant seem to keep the bottom tray attached to my teeth. It keeps popping up on my bottom molars. its still pretty snug on my front 6 bottom teeth, and i still feel pressure there. I'm not having a problem with the top tray, everything is staying ...
I really wanted to start a blog and share my experience with visalign. I have had this crazy obsession with reading everyone elses experiences. A little about myslef, i'm in my late 20's and had metal braces about 10 years ago. I wasnt very diciplined when wearing my retainer so sadly, my teeth shifted. I have a slight over bite and a cross-bite, which wasnt really fixed the first go around. I decided to get invisalign so i can brush my teeth really well. I had some problems with ...
