the attachments are ON!

So yesterday my attachments (or “lugs” as my ortho calls them) were put on. I am somewhat pleasantly surprised, just 4 on top and 4 on bottom, and none are on my front teeth. The process of putting them on was…err… interesting…. as I’m sure I looked great with the cheek expanders, sunglasses, and bib (haha)…but it was painless nevertheless. I did not have any IPR done… however I did see the assistant type “No IPR needed as of now, check again at next appt,” which is in six weeks.
It is MUCH more difficult to get the aligners off now, especially on my bottom teeth because I have 3 attachments right in a row. When the assistant took my bottom aligners off for the first time I could have sworn she was going to pull one of my teeth out with it! I’ve already broken a piece off of one of my attachments while trying to get them off, so I’m going to have to call my ortho today and see if they want to fix it or not. But, on a better note, I was told that I’d probably start to notice more movement now that the attachments are on, so that is certainly exciting!
