1st Adjustment Tomorrow

Hey everyone. I haven't posted in a little while because all has been well with my braces. I've been eating any and everything. I had steak for dinner last night. all of that will probably change tomorrow. I have my 1st adjustment tomorrow at 5:30pm and I'm so excited. I'm very familiar with the ritual from reading posts so I will take medicine an hour before I go and I'm prepared to eat soft foods all over again. I'm a pasta person so I won't mind at all. I just hope that it won't be painful but I won't mind one bit because if I feel any pain or pressure that means it's working. I'm just anxious to get my process going and with this being my 1st adjustment I hope plenty of things happen at my appointment. I forgot to tell you that I have my braces for 1 year so hopefully I'll be done July 13th, 2011 or maybe I'll get lucky and it'll be sooner. Wish me luck!!

    Good luck with your adjustment today!! I think that's a great idea to have your steak dinner right before your adjustment, when you have no pain. I may try that next time. You may be surprised and have no pain at all. I had my 4th adjustment last Friday, and all he did was change the bottom wire and top ligs, and I was surprisingly pain-free after that. I felt a little bit of tightness in the lower teeth yesterday, but a couple of sticks of gum got rid of that right away.

    Isn't it crazy how we actually WANT them to do all kinds of crazy things to our teeth, no matter how much it may hurt?

    Here's to your adjustment being a great one and you not needing to 'go soft' when it's over!

    Some adjustments can make some people feel a little sore for a day or two, but most are fine.

    Hope your ortho is thrilled with how things are going for you!
