I went in on Jan 17th hoping to get a bracket put on my tooth that has been hooked to a chain for the last 18 months, no such luck. The tooth wasn't quite in far enought to put a bracket on. Feb. 14th is my next appointment and I'm positive that it will get a bracket on that visit. I'm SO EXCITED. I asked my dentist how long it would be before my braces would come off and he wouldn't give me a time line. He says that it all depends on how this stinkin' tooth behaves. Hopefully it behaves well and I can have them off in 6 to 8 months. Two years was the timeline he gave me at the begining. I by all means don't want to rush it but I am ready to have them off also.
This last check up was more painful that all of my others I think, I even had to take an extra dose of pain meds to sleep a couple of nights in a row. I guess pain is progress.
