Although I've been in braces for quite awhile, close to 2 years (March), I want to write about my experience.

I chose lingual braces for aesthetic purposes to bring down my impacted canine. My exposure surgery was June 2010. I thought my tooth would be in place by now but hopefully it will be there soon.
