I went in today to fix a broken archwire on the top, and my orthodontist suprised me with elastics. So, instead of just replacing the top wire, I've got elastics from the back top to the bottom canines. I'm pretty lucky this time because you can't see them when I talk. He also filed down my front tooth that looked weird ever since it became straight.

I don't plan on telling my brother (who I live with) that I got them. I wonder how long before he'll notice.

Great you have started with class III elastics HeadJam. I've been wearing them on and off for two years and they're so easy it's amazing. At my last appointment my left side was changed to a triangle ... upper canine to lower canine and lower premolar ... a big change after the class III one, but still easy to wear.

    Good luck with your progress!

Amazing ... you must smile wide!

I've worn class III elastics for over two years and hardly anyone knew. It was like my special secret. Now I've got a triangle on my left side from my upper canine ... well it's no secret anymore!

Mariah, the triangular formation elastics you have are way more obvious coz they come from the upper canines. Class III come from the upper back molar to the lower canine, which means most of the elastic is hidden against your cheek, unless you smile really big or laugh.

I've got the left triangle (same as you) and right class III to a lower triangle (upper molar to lower canine and first premolar), until at least next february ... here's hoping they've done the job needed by then!
